I don't like Lebron at all, but not wanting him in Houston for purely basketball reason is just silly. Who cares if he does his little dances and his poses. I'm willing to dance and pose with him if he is the piece that is going to make us contenders for the next several years.
Like some have stated here already, I think the greatest advantage the Rockets have in obtaining James is that they can send players/picks to Cleveland that would rebuild their team a lot faster than any package other S&T teams can offer.
BTW, how sweet would it be to get Lebron using the Knicks picks along with Jeffries expiring contract and Jordan Hill and other filler. I'd laugh for days at Knicks.
Anyone who doesn't want LeBron on the Rockets obviously does not truly care about the team because he would make us 1,000X better than we are now. Whenever you have the opportunity to acquire one of the best players in the game, if not the best, you do it, literally at whatever it takes. Role players can be found anywhere- getting a Duncan, Shaq, LeBron, Wade, etc.- you just do it, period.
I believe he will. We have the best availabe assets in the league. It's no reason for the rockets not to go after the best free agent player.
same guy. he also reported the rockets looooove some hassan whiteside who is soaring up the draft charts!!! Tom martin is not credible. ***Link***
I would learn to love him on the team, but if we miss out on him you won't catch me teary eyed. I don't generally like when one player is more important than their team, who constantly excuse themselves via 'it's a business', and whose whims must be catered to at risk of total apocalypse. See: Clemens, Favre, Kobe, LeBron, McGrady, etc. The way the Cavs have behaved for the past 5 years has been silly. LeBron in Cleveland is just pure idolization, while the other guys on the team are scrutinized and criticized for every fault, while their names are forgotten in the wake of "The King". I love championships as much as anyone, but I also despise media darlings. I don't even like the hand chalk thing. BOO primadonnas.. go team.
Are we actually talking about whether we want LBJ, or whether LBJ is good for the team, if we can get him? Man, these days people are hard to be pleased. I don't get it. BTW, why would LBJ come?
There is no way Lebron is coming here, Houston isn't an attractive city to live in, unlike New York, Los Angeles, etc. P.S. This is my first post!
Yes, obviously(or obviously not so obvious ) I was joking. It's out there in the public of what teams are visiting him. New Jersey New York Cleveland Los Angeles Clippers Chicago Miami
Actually, the folks in Akron held a "Lebron day" event recently. On that day, Lebron said he always will love Akron. Didn't mention Cleveleland. lol
NBA Insider Jerome Solomon indicated that Morey called up Maverick Carter and told him to tell Lebron to ****ing come to Morey's house if he's interested in playing for the Rockets.
