I don't know if i would gamble waiting for Bosh(i probably would) but Parsons 15mil contract is not attractive even if we strike out on everyone. A role player who will never be an all star,it's too much but ...

Wasnt too long ago when we had high hopes about a big free agent and the press thought he was waffling because he was flying back to the city of his current team.

LBJ could be just heading there to tell the heat his decision in person.

My understanding is those tickets were purchased a long time ago, anyway...the plan was always for him to fly back through Miami and out to Brazil after he left that camp in Vegas.

This flight was planned at least a month ago. He's flying through Miami to Brazil.

makes sense. Tons of flights to S. America go through Miami.

Another reason to step away from the ledge

[rQUOTEr]One reason, if not the major reason, that LeBron James has taken so long to decide whether to play in Miami or Cleveland next season is the infamous letter Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert penned about James after the superstar left Cleveland in 2010, sources said.

In the letter, written in Comic Sans font, Gilbert called James a "coward" and mocked the many nicknames and catchphrases attached to James, such as "King James," "The Chosen One" and "Witness."

The letter remained on the Cavs' website for the past four years until the team removed it earlier this week.

While James recognizes that informing Cavs fans and Gilbert, who was told of James' decision to leave Cleveland in a telephone call five minutes before it was announced, on national television was a mistake, he is still wrestling with whether or not to return to play for Gilbert's team.

"If it wasn't for that letter, this would've been done awhile ago," one source said.

Sources close to James said Thursday that the four-time MVP wanted to speak with his family before making his decision. Many around the NBA have wondered what there was left to talk about, but James' concerns about the Gilbert letter is a plausible explanation.

While league executives wait for James to make his announcement, many refuse to believe he'll return to Cleveland to play for Gilbert. Some even believe it would be hypocritical after how powerfully James spoke out against Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling after racist comments by Sterling were made public in May.

James was the first player to speak out against Sterling, saying he had no place in the NBA.

"He condemned Sterling but he's going back to the [expletive] who nearly called him an uppity [expletive]," one league executive said. "Hypocrite."

Is this legit or is it going to be Broussard's "FIFTY FIFTY" moment of this year's free agency period?

Why would you downplay the personal feelings? It's not like the money makes a difference for his family security. It's only about ego.

Lebron ought to make the deal to include just buying the Cavs himself and dumping that subprime A-hole.

So Sheridan is also a huge hack who has no business being in journalism, but I thought this was funny (in response to the Broussard story about LeBron being hung up on the Gilbert letter):

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Rules of journalism state that anonymous sources should only be used to report facts, not opinions. <a href="https://twitter.com/Chris_Broussard">@Chris_Broussard</a> breaking that rule.</p>&mdash; Chris Sheridan (@sheridanhoops) <a href="https://twitter.com/sheridanhoops/statuses/487573221307584512">July 11, 2014</a></blockquote>

If I were Lebron, I'd be pissed at Gilbert too. He seems like a petty maniac. That letter, that he left published on his website for 3 years, was just pure narcissistic lunacy.

Riley's rant didn't have personal insults. Gilbert was ridiculed league-wide while some chose to applaud Riley's efforts

Sucks having two tremendous a-holes for owners in Cleveland (Browns/Cavs).

I think they bigger story to take from Riley's rant was that someone on the team was very ticked after the series.....and that someone was probably LeBron.

He should be offended at both. One very explicit calling him a coward and one veiled attempt to call him a coward. Same result.
