He already does have a deadly post game. I don't know what you're talking about. His step-back in the post is money.
I dont know if losing the weight helped (he needs that muscle bulk) but its only 4 games into the season for them - and he is playing with a whole new set of teammates - two of whom haven't experienced winning since college and are used to doing it on their own. Wade/Bosh both won (in terms of making it to the playoffs and all) and Kyrie really needs to grow up fast and understand that he isn't the man anymore and learn how to pick his spots and defer to the extremely talented teammates he has now in Love and LeBron. Lastly - I am not sure how good having Blatt as a coach is - having come from Europe I dont know if he understands how to coach in the NBA. He has no NBA coaching experience even as an assistant I believe. Now he is expected to coach a team with the best player in the NBA and 2 other top 20 guys and make it work? Does he know how to properly manage egos? Does he understand where these players are coming from? Spo I feel wasn't given enough credit for what he did when he got the 'Big 3' he is a good coach and will do well in Miami still. I can't see Blatt doing that just yet. The Cavs as a team had 6 assists last night - this guy was supposed to be an offensive genius - where is the ball movement then?
This is what happens when you have a (pick two) selfish, unpolished, or can't score point guard running the team. Much like what the Rockets would look like if Rondo was running the team. Except Kyrie can score and Rondo can dish out as many assists as Harden. As if Harden would have the ball in his hands often. If the ball is not in the hands of LBJ or Harden, half their talent is just wasted.
Kyrie Irving is a chucking r****d. I'm sorry but even J.Lin is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kyrie Irving. The Cavs would be doing betting with Lin in this instance.
LBJ at 6-8 and 245 pounds is as strong as any player in the NBA. Losing 20 pounds from the frame of one of the best player ever in the NBA is a nit that nitwits focus on. The obvious problem is Kyrie. There is a very very good reason that the Heat and the Rockets chose a point guard that did not detract from their best players skill set. And LBJ for the foreseeable will be the best player on his team. Whatever team he is on.
kyrie has to adjust to playing with lebron just as much as lebron does to him. yes its a problem right now but this is no different than the adjustment period lebron had when he went to miami. they too started off slow. lebron even said from the very beginning its going to be a slow process, especially with the cavs core being so young.
Absolutely true. But Kyrie needs to understand just where he sits in the talent pecking order. He may have made an all-star appearance, but LBJ is NBA hall of fame material. And I still hate the "LBJ lost 20 pounds" excuse for how bad Cleveland is playing. The Cavs need to trade Kyrie, Waiters and a draft pick for a defense first point guard and a decent veteran shooting guard. Or more likely, they will just waste this chance at a championship like they did last time they had LBJ.
the whole team needs to understand it, not just kyrie. As that happens they will play better. It may happen later rather than sooner but the pieces that fit will stick around and i expect some won't, as I think eventually waiters will be gone, but their big 3 isn't going anywhere
Perhaps. But if I were in Cleveland's management team I would ship Kyrie out in a heartbeat if he has not given up the wheel of that ship by mid season. Rondo would be an almost perfect fit for them.
And we return yet again to McHale's second season as coach. How does a team run an efficient offense when the starters have several new members introduced into the rotation? You give the ball to your best player and ride him as far as he can take the team. It does not seem like that is what is happening in Cleveland. Unless your point guard is named Chris Paul, they should give the rock to LBJ and see what develops. Kyrie or LBJ? Kyrie or LBJ? I believe the choice is obvious.
Cavs about to go on a winning streak. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>In the words of the great <a href="https://twitter.com/AaronRodgers12">@AaronRodgers12</a> "RELAX"</p>— LeBron James (@KingJames) <a href="https://twitter.com/KingJames/status/530445709519388676">November 6, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
haha love it! I strongly doubt it has anything to do with his diet. It's just a slow start. Nothing to see here folks.
No doubt dropping 30 pounds had a negative effect on him -- I bet he adds some weight and regains his previous form.
Lebron and the Cavs will get it together with some time. The beginning is usually rocky, but Lebron's personality will dictate that it will be better. Right now...they dont play defense...and the moment they do...they will start playing better ball. Lebron has to lead via example, and Love and Kyrie will follow. Lebron cant stand back in the wings...he has to lead and do so because Cleveland matters to him more than any one else on that team. Its the burden the best player on the planet will always be faced with...MUST LEAD BY EXAMPLE. i feel as though Lebron is getting a feel for his teams strengths and weakness...soon we will see Lebron exert himself down the stretch of games.
I think Lebron will let Kyrie do what he's doing and see that they are not winning. Then he will go on a monster streak where they win a lot. I also think Waiters is a locker room cancer and needs to be traded. The guy has zero interest in winning obviously.
