Overthinking this in a joke thread. Both age 26 or season 8 are just rules of thumb. Neither is scientific or causal. What Jordan did or did not do doesn't mean **** for Lebron or his chances. They are different situations. But ppl just use them to get a rough rule of thumb comparison. Both comparisons are equally valid (ie not much) and ppl are free to use either one based on their own thought. What you should be focusing on is that LEBRON himself said anything less than a ring this year is a failure. Take him at his word and assume that he failed. Doesn't have anything to do with Jordan. Better luck next year. They probably do win one next year. The thing about leaving work 12 min early was funny.
seasons don't matter. Lebron has to win a ring, be the best player on the team, and bet the Finals MVP for it to count in terms of MJ. some still don't realize when you come in at 18 compared to somebody that comes in older, you start to decline at an early age. Playing 2-3 years in college is nothing compared to 2-3 years in the NBA, with playoffs. That's just common sense, that i thought most people understood. Kobe is 32 and declining very fast. He always has had a jump shot to fall back on. Lebron does not have that. When Lebron's drive to the basket game got taken away, we all saw what happened.
