No his business moves haven't effected his game. My point was, I think he gets a lot of heat for showing his business side too much. Honestly I really don’t care what he does business wise, to me what matters is on the court. I think once he gets some rings people will lay off a bit and he'll get more respect.
Kobe wore #24 in high school before switching to 33, which was his father's high school jersey number.
As the other article states, jersey sales go into the general NBA pool first. It doesn't sound like players receive much, and if they did, it would be chump change compared to what Lebron gets from other revenue streams. BTW, anyone remember when Nike-sponsored members of the Dream Team had to cover up the Reebok logo when they were awarded their medals? Let's face it, business permeates every aspect of pro sports, even the Olympics. Stop pretending Lebron is the first one to value it.
no i wasnt inappropriately touched but let u tell it, that is wat ur little perverted ass would think of.. im guessin ur one of the many lebrick nut huggers the guy is a front runner and is disrespectful to his opponents in winning and losing.. i see ur mind is vastly outa shape so ill jog ur memory, ALL last season LBGAY was yuckin it up the entire year with his cheerleaders, oops, i mean teammates with the taking pictures on the sideline and posing and dancing and rollin around on the court when they were winnin REGULAR season games, not POSTseason games, totally classless and disrespectful then when he lost in that 5 game sweep to Orlando in the Conference Finals, which i rofl btw, he stormed off the court without shaking hands and left his good Olympic team 'friend' Dwight Howard' hanging AND he left without talking to reporters.. the guy has no class and if thats something u wana support and admire that shows wat type of lame u are
Yeah that was his second idol next to MJ himself. From what he says that's why he's choosing to go from 23 to 6. He knows the league isn't retiring 23 league wide just cause LeBron says so. This is just following in the footsteps of his predecessors.
I think even Lebron is realizing he'll never be as great as Jordan. Jordan played every game like he had something to prove, even after much success. Lebron seems too content with himself.
I skimmed through the article. Did the writer show any evidence that LeBron is totally lying about honoring Jordan? It wouldn't surprise me at all if LeBron was just doing it for jersey sales, but the writer came across as if he could read LeBron's mind. That part about Bill Russell was ridiculous. Sorry, but whether you think Russell was the true greatest ever over MJ (and legitimate arguments can be made about Russell's stacked teammates and weak opposition), Jordan's #23 is far more well-known than Bill Russell's #6. Any casual basketball fan knows #23. I couldn't even recall Russell's number until I read this article.
You conveniently left out the part about Kobe getting away with raping an 18 year old girl, and that he called his wife right after it happened so she would not be suspicious..
I have no problem with his changing numbers. But I don't like the fact he came up with a ridiculous Jordan homage story. Lie in public is an insult to intelligence.
I wish we all could say we want to be worth a billion dollars in whatever field we're in and not be called a douche. However that's not why I dislike LerBon. It's his dancing and just overall demeanor in the game. Aside from that, he's going to be the greatest player in our time once Kobe is gone.
I agree with you on this. He should have just changed numbers and not explained it. Especially when he said if he doesn't wear the number 23 then nobody should wear 23.
