But he didnt land on both feet. The camera angle on the ESPN video isnt the greatest, but he definitely did not land on both feet, after he gathered the ball.

I don't know the exact rules but he clearly took 3 full steps (right, left, right).

Yeah, I thought that one was more obvious and they didn't call it. And the one they called was also travel. That's pretty typical of LeBron. He does that a lot and got away with it. What's surprising is that they actually called traveling on him on this one.

Crab dribble my butt, that boy traveled just like he always does. Can't take the fundamentals away just because you dunk like a freak while being held down by the entire defense.

Acording to the NBA rules, after the player gathers the ball he's allowed a one-two step plus the shot. I'm not sure about the intepretation of those rules, but if you're allow to jump on the shot, then the third "hop step" could be allowed as last step is moving without changing the pivot before you jump shoot.

Travel, easily a travel. On the two step rule....you have to take two steps and jump. You can't take two steps, take another and then jump on the third and call it a 'hop step'. As soon as his foot touched the floor on the third step it's a travel. Good call.

if you take 2 steps you must do 2 things after it and ONLY 2 things for it to be legal:

    1) shoot
    2) pass

if you take a jump step/stop it must be as you pick up your dribble, and after the jump step/stop u cant move your feet again essentially losing your pivot foot.

You can't take three steps and jump on the 3rd step. That's clearly a travel. You have to jump on the 2nd step. Everyone knows that just from playing high school ball or even pickup ball at the Y.

From what I understand, referees will allow a player to take 2.5 steps, 2 full steps with the .5 being a hop-step, but you can't take 3 steps.

Lebron almost always travels. It's good to see him finally get called for it.

It is clearly travel and to argue otherwise shows a lack of knowledge of the rules. I think it shows the arrogance of the man that he complained about it after the game when hes got calls all his career.... I mean he must know deep down he gets a good deal with the refs compared to 98% of the players in the NBA.

Every player in the league travels. He got called because he looked kinda akward when he took off to take the shot. Lebron can travel for the Rockets anytime he wants because he travels with HEART!!!!!

It was a travel, and there shouldn't be any speculations. Like they said, one, one and two.

Great quote from BronBron. Just trademark a signature move and rules-be-damned! My signature is to give a swift kick to the defender's nuts before attacking the basket. No foul here!
