Well ****, I had no idea about that. I guess I shouldn't have bashed him about "the decision". Still don't think he shouldv'e gone to the Heat though.

I don't think that changes anything.

Changes it dramatically for me. I would take a million "The Decisions" if $3 mil was donated to a charity each time. I would watch it with glee and anticipation each time.

Again, I still don't think he shouldv'e gone to Miami regardless. That I will bash him for.

and every single year, the media, not Favre and his advisors, makes it "Favre Month" on tv and the end is always him getting out of a car and going to practice....no prearranged, self serving, look-at-me-party

I was prepared to like James even less based on the thread title. But, (1) it wasn't James but his handler that said it, and (2) it wasn't really him either, it was O'brien bringing it up and he was just dumb enough to go along with the excuse.

no...it was James who said it:

O'BRIEN (on camera): Do you think there's a role that race plays in this.

JAMES: I think so at times. It's always, you know, a race factor.

This is what you people are calling playing the race card and getting this upset about? THIS?!

Barely commital statements that "a race factor" "plays a role" in "some of the stuff" "at times?"

You have to be f--king kidding me.

Christ, we should just make a "Whiny b****es that Hate Lebron" forum and get it over with.

kevin Durant is not a comparable situation, damn near every player in that position stays in the city that drafted them on their second contract, just like Lebron.

CARTER: It definitely played a role in some of the stuff coming out of the media, things that were written for sure.

Lets hi-lite some different parts......how bout now? You still think its "barely commital"? I agree that they arent on a soapbox with Farrakhan and Kwame X (or whatever his name is) standing behind them...but they are playing a race card when asked

My bad reading comprehension, I guess. Still, O'Brien throws it out there, so I don't consider it much of a race card. If James brought it up of his own accord, it'd be different.

Oh wow, this guy is ridiculous. If any athlete, I don't care if he is black, white, brown, green, yellow, whatever....played for a team and for years while still under contract would market his free agency and say things like 'everyone should mark there calenders to july 2010' and then negotiate an hour special WHILE his team is in the playoffs to make an announcement and then play dumb and say he did it for the kids, and of all the boys and girls clubs, he chose greenwhich, where the median family income is multiple times that of elsewhere?

This guy is a joke who just can't take it...

-when he didn't shake hands, he said its because hes not a loser(I guess MJ kobe and all the other PROFESSIONALS before him were?)

when he changed his number, he said its to honor michael jordan bc the is a student of the history of the game....so he changed his number no less to...6, so apparently student of the history of the game did not study julius erving or bill russell, the guy with the most rings and considered arguably the greatest by some too

-when he crab dribbled....its only been a travel since the beginning of the league, he denied it, said its his signature move, and ofcourse the nba accommodated him

and now this, says he would do it over again, and maybe race played a part...this guy and his 'marketing' team are jokes

You don't think 3 million dollars donated to charity is a big deal?

Let's see you cough up 1/100 the cash then
