Maybe. His family reportedly didn't want to live here. I could understand also his apprehension about joining a 65-win team that frankly should be the defending champs right now barring CP3's hammy and Scott Foster's whistle. LeBron does not want to be another Durant.

But there's also no denying that if he had come here, he'd likely pick up another ring or two. I hope he knows what he's doing.

Chris Broussard literally makes things up. He doesn't know anything. He's been called out publicly by teams for making things up and Chris Paul just roasted him at the NBA awards for making up stuff.

I have no idea what Harden wanted, but Chris Broussard saying it is 99% similar to Basketballholic saying it.

Ha! How? KD ruined the league. Lebron is just trying to do what's best for his family.

Harden didn't want him here. I've heard he stated that, and his recent comments tells the truth about his feelings. Every one wanted to take it as smoke screens.

Can we just get rid of Anderson some how and give two good contributing players like 10 mil each and call it a day?

If he does indeed go to the lakers with Kawhi...I think I would rather root for the warriors if it ever came down to it. Lebron "the mercenary" on the Rockets I would have lived with for a ship or 2, but Lebron "the mercenary" on any other team is pathetic. Pathetic that the best player of his generation, and arguably all time, has always felt the need to "team up" and try and stack thee deck instead of being the hero. And for those who argue he was the hero in Cleveland...he orchestrated the Love trade while also joining irving. They were a super team when they formed and clearly the best roster in the NBA as the warriors were just coming around.

    Good, now let's move on.

We have a championship roster to fine tune -- with Capela being our top priority. Adding Jimmy Buckets would be welcomed, too. :D

Bron opt out could also be bluff/threat to Cavs to do SnT.

Cavs would be fools if he leaves and they get absolutely nothing in return.

    Maybe.... maybe not.

We don't know if Paul or Leonard is going to LA.

If it is Leonard, we don't know who the Lakers get to hand on to.

Do they keep Kouzma and Hart?

    Do they get the MLE?

    Who are the ring chasers?

Don't estimate the potential of a combo of James and Leonard.

Is it the home run that signing with Hou or Bos would be? No it isn't.

However one thing most of us have forgotten is that James isn't used to compromising. If he wants to go to LA and win a title...... he will try to force it, rather than go somewhere other than LA.

Now that he opt out he can take a discount to sign with a team via trade, like what Miami did in 2010, so the whole team isn't gutted. So it's still possible IMO. I think he has 4 options now, but most depend on other players. If the 76ers trade for Kawhi he can sign there as a free agent, the same for the Cavs and Lakers. By opting out it gives more time for these teams to get something done. But if they dont, I think he comes here at a small discount. What are his options? Go to the Lakers by himself? Back to Cleveland? He wants to win and those options,he wont simply put. A trade exception and some picks and fillers will get it done for Cleveland. Don't lose hope!
