Tracy needs to learn that not everything that runs through your head should be spoken out loud - especially to the press.

Does this guy get off on burning bridges with whatever team he is on? It's almost like he's doing it on purpose.

    Either way Lebron or not....

30 Million dollars is going to get you a Star player.

The team might strike out on Lebron, but eventually someone will sign with them.

And if the East doesn't improve it's level of competitiveness then they are easily a playoff team with the current team+1 star.

Just David Lee and another 2010 free agent star is a playoff team in the East.

do y'all realize how many players have said the same thing, or the opposite? The title is miselading because it makes it sound like Tmac knows or thinks he knows insider info, as if lebron told him. In reality, he just said he think he'll stay in cleveland where he's got it made, which is pretty logical. It's his hometown, he's got a nice team, and they bend over backwards to please him and keep the team competitive. For some reason fans feel like they need to post every single thing tmac says, and others feel like they always have to think the worst of it...

Pretty much most things McGrady says never come to fruitions, I hope that's not the case here. I hope he's right.

One more week 'til TMac starts to publicly complain about how the coaching staff sucks and air all the dirty laundry in the Knicks lockerroom.

Come July 2010, TMac will sign with Houston. Daryl Morey and TMac will reveal at the press conference that they arranged the deal so that TMac can serve as a Trojan Horse in New York and come back to a team stocked with more talent.

He should get consideration from almost all of the contenders. Any one of them could use him, mainly as a back up for specific situations, or a regular back up. He's shown that even post surgery he can still be a significant part of the offense, he just needs to be able to defer to better players, who he can just pass to or get passes from that lead to easy shots. All contenders should have those kinds of players.

As for money, that's a tough one. It could be a pretty large range because some teams who thought they'd pull a big name may not get them and end up overpaying tmac, while other teams will offer smaller contracts. I'd say anything up to 10 mill is realistic, but the number of years will vary. I'd say the more money per year the least years he'll get, and the more years, the less money.

oh i forgot to say i do think he'll get offers from non contenders, but i dont think he'll consider them. At this point he's better off chasing a title and going to a lottery team will just expose his decline even more.

10 million. For T-Mac. For a player who hasn't shown he can stay on the court consistently and whines like this. And that's not even getting that none of the contenders have 10 million anyways. MLE will be the most they get, and I pray that it's a team like the Lakers or Dallas that makes that offer.

It's not like he went to the media himself and said: "LeBron won't be coming to New York next season". He gave his opinion when asked, what's wrong with that?

Please read my post carefully. You're doing what a lot of fans do with his comments, generalize them and pick out what sounds worst. My guess wasnt only and exactly 10 mill. I said up to that amount. It could 3 mill, 6 mill, etc. My reasoning as to why it could go that high is, like i stated, some team will lose out on the big names and they'll panic and end up overpaying tmac, it's not uncommon for it to happen. As for contenders not having 10 mill, i focused on contenders because that's who i expect tmac to consider, won't stop other teams from submitting offers, and that's who i think will overpay him, possibly up to 10 mill, but i dont see him taking it.

And teams dont see it the way fans do. Here we are posting every little tidbit tmac says, if it sounds ridiculous we hate on him, if it doesnt, we make it seem ridiculous, and then hate on him. Teams arent going to be so sensitive about this. Fans are acting like a couple after a bad breakup, you want kick the other person down and keep them there, but most of the time , if not all, you're blowing things out of proportion. Others likely wont.

NY likely has no intention of bringing McGrady back next season.

McGrady figures this out and his feelings get hurt.

McGrady effectively says "I don't want anything to do with NY unless they can land LeBron. Oh, by the way, no way NY is landing LeBron."

As a result, when McGrady doesn't return to NY (because they don't want him), it can appear as if it is by McGrady's choosing.

McGrady clings desperately to his fragile sense of pride for one more day.

Everyone's making fun of T-Mac because he stated a valid point in that LeBron is staying put?

Or is is the fact that he said he was willing to sign for less if they Knicks improved over the off season?

How is this guy acting like a cancer or whatever? The Knicks have nothing to win this season and most likely won't be anywhere close to winning next season. The entire team is a cancer.

Wow, unbelievable. If you think Rockets fans hate Tmac, try the Knicks forum. They are ruthless in their comments.

MerGady should just move to Cleveland next year for free if he wants a good final run. It is coat tail riding time, baby!
