Didn't call him the devil - just saying that this fits his pattern. He needs to be in control, or arrange the appearance that he's in control.

Rockets going to exile him? Torpedo it with a press conference.

Knicks tell him they aren't likely to bring him back? Tell the press that you're the one that isn't interested in returning.

I wonder how much LeBron enjoyed seeing McGrady talk to the press about him.

I agree completely. I have always thought it would be silly of LBJ to leave Cleveland, after they have done a lot to prove they want to be winners. They even went out and traded for Jamison.

No one is questioning the validity of what McGrady said, but rather why he can't keep his mouth shut and goes 180 one too many times.

Boston did a pretty good job of putting an all star lineup together and winning a title.

I do think that James is going to stay in Cleveland. It just makes too much sense and a sign and trade is impossible. No teams have the assets to match the talent in James.

Why wait till next year? Tmac is already doing a great job of being himself this year.

Maybe Knicks thought about re-signing Tmac on the cheap after this year, but certainly not after this latest saga

ummm, it is his choice. He gets to deciee which offer he takes. All he's saying is he'd like to stay in NY if they get something going, assuming they offer him a deal, or if not, he'd go elsewhere, whatver is best for him...pretty much the way most free agents think..

There is precisely ZERO chance of Lebron going to the Knicks. The Cavaliers have better players, more draft picks, and more money that they can pay him. Cleveland is also his home. Leaving cleveland would screwup his bird rights. There's just absolutely no reason for him to leave unless he's really unhappy, and it sure as hell wouldn't be to the Knicks.

The Knicks will end up settling for Joe Johnson, and if they're lucky, Chris Bosh. If they're really desperate, they might try and steel Yao.

More like how Joey Dorsey got to decide whether he wanted to go to Toronto or come back to Houston.

Funny how story about LeBron somehow has something to do with McGrady.

LOL at the shady, cheap publication this article came from. T-Mac is really lowering his standards, giving interviews to whoever will listen and trying to prove that he's still somebody. Tough luck.

Y'all can hate on tmac as much as y'all want, i sure did when it called for it, but let's not act like he's going to have to beg to get a deal. He may not get as many years or as much money as he wants, but there's going to be more than a couple teams willing to sign him at a discount for a couple years. At this point I can't see tmac thinking about choosing between max deals, he knows he'll have to settle for a lots less, but again, he should get enough offers where he'll have to sort through them and figure out which suits him best, which means he'll have the final decision.

Wow, he shouldn't have even said anything. I know he's trying to be honest but that's like a no win question the way he answered it.

Considering just about every Tracy McGrady quote is posted on this board I would say a lot.

Out of curiosity, how many suitors and what range of money do you guess he'll see this summer?
