CLE was favored in 2010. Not sure why you keep bringing up '08, when they only won 45 games. I'm only talking about '09-11, where he had HCA and was favored every time and lost each time. The reason definitely matters. People have bad games or a bad series. There are plenty of examples of that from the greats of the game. But the truly elite are not afraid on the big stage. They may come up short, but at least they tried. They may miss big shots, but at least they took them. They may miss important free throws, but at least they weren't afraid to go to the foul line. You can't say that about Lebron. If you think all failures are equal, we'll just have to agree to disagree. Not saying I would be happy about it if he were on my team, but to use an ESPN First Take cliche, I still wouldn't mind being in a foxhole with the guy. Can't say that for Lebron. I think Lebron has been in the league long enough for us to know what he's about. Bryant's teams were never as good as this Heat team, when you compare them to the other teams in the league in the same time frame. This Heat team is far and away better than any team in the league today.
i dunno what the argument is about but i want to say that in no way was cleveland favored in the magic series. anyone who watched their matchups that season knew the magic had their number. it's like saying the mavericks were favored against golden state in 07, which everyone knew was not true, even though the mavs had the best record/HCA

Miami just followed "the formula" to a T. Lebron carried them up until 20 seconds left in OT against the Pacers. Gave the ball to Wade tied at 91. He hits the game winner with 0.01 on the clock.
Pacers choked away the game twice: In regulation and OT. Dahntay Jones is worthless idiot that has no place in the rotation of a good team. Miami's offense looked very stale. Pacers turned the game ugly and should have won despite shooting 38% from the field.
Yes. But this represents progress for the Pacers. A month ago, they trailed the Heat by over 30 going into the 4th quarter. A couple of games ago, they quit against the Bulls in the 2nd half. They are too balanced and need a definite alpha dog. Their scoring is too spread out. Plus, when your leading scorer is shooting 39% from the field, he's a flat tire. I'm definitely no fan of LeBron, but if he hadn't hit both 3-pointers, the Heat would have lost. Those were clutch shots.

The Heat just go with who's hot. LBJ carried them, so they gave him the light to take the 3 prior to Wades shot. He missed, so they traded turns and Wade took his. They're figuring it out in the clutch now.
Where did you infer that I hate LeBron? I love Lebron's game and think he gets too much undeserved BS from the talking heads. I already said I was only referring to the overtime, and by "the formula" I'm obviously referring to the concept that has become popular as of late that "Lebron carries, Wade finishes" and how the OT played out exactly that way. Jesus, can you people have any halfway f-ing rational discussion without someone being accused of "hating" someone/something?
Wade will get more credit because he hit the game winner, but LeBron's game-tying shot in regulation, to me, is more "clutch". There isn't that much pressure to hit the shot when the game is tied and you're taking the last shot. Especially when if you miss you still have another 5 minutes in your own building to win the game.

Actually, if you remember, at the time Jordan got similar hate. People said all he could do was dunk. And if you were around Houston in the early 90s, people here said Jordan wasn't all that and that Hakeem was better than him. People always hate the greats.
