Agreed, and the guy has been that way since high school. He might have the best NBA wingman body ever.(no homo). A true point forward. :D. Oh yeah, he traveled. He took a step then a small jumpstop that wasn't landed on both feet. Yao does kinda the same thing when he turns to the paint for the baby hook or the fadeaway.

Did anybody see Lebron get up on that alley from Hughes? Usually announcers exaggerate a little to play up the game, but Lebron really was "peaking over the rim". I rewinded it about 5 times in awe.

there wasn't any jumpstop on the gamewinning layup. he took 2 steps (more like 2.5 steps as someone pointed out since he picked up his dribble before his foot came all the way down, but everyone in the nba takes that extra halfstep and it is never called).

Not a full jumpstop, more like a skip.

you can download the play and slow-mo replays there. i take it back, he doesnt even take the extra nba half step, its a legitimate 1 step, 2nd step, layup. he picks up the ball right when his left foot hits the ground, then puts his right foot down (1 step), and takes off with his left (2nd step).

This was a huge game for the Rockets. Last night was almost an 0-fer since Golden State went into New Orleans and beat them (did you see some of those 3's they were draining? from the parking lot), Denver hung on to beat the Grizz, and the Jazz played the Knicks (unfortunately for us, the Knicks play like all 5 teams that are within reach of us in the next 2 weeks or something....thanks for being a POS Isiah!!). Thank God LeBron took over that 4th, otherwise the Rockets would have lost ground to everybody. This also makes our 2 wins over Portland even bigger now.

The Warriors are hard to beat if they are hot from 3 pt land from start to finish. Their 3 main guys Harrington, Jackson, & Davis shoot more than 50 % (11/18) on 3s. Never skip a beat in the whole game.

He's a freak. He could be a linebacker if he tried.

The Blazers could have stopped him from driving on that last play if they wanted to. They should have doubled him immediately and forced him to pass. But it was clear once he got the ball and started driving their main goal was to avoid fouling, which was dumb. With players like LeBron and Wade, they go straight to the rim and will never miss if you don't foul them. 99% of the time it will be a dunk or a layup off the glass. This is what separates them from lesser stars. All of the other Cavs had disappeared completely so I'm puzzled by Sarge's strategy on that play. No way should they have ever allowed LeBron to take the shot.

there are 3 separate threads on the same subject.. Pick one and leave it at that.... We don't need a bunch of threads about the same subject..... We know Lebron is a great player, but merge the thread topics into one please....

I'll have to watch the 4th quarter tonight to see how it all went down. You should always live and die by letting the other team's role player taking a shot rather then the superstar (unless, maybe, his name rhymes w/ Dogbert Maury). Not to mention I think Mike Brown's clipboard has a drawing (in permanent marker) of 4 arrows pointing towards the initials LBJ in the center.

Yeah, that's an even better match up of skill sets. He would take less hits too. Maybe he could line up next to Braylon Edwards on Sundays off for the Browns. That would be awesome.

he outshined kobe in the 4th on his homecourt. and he easily dismantled roy on his own home court.

tmac is coming up next week. let's see what the king has in store for the falling tracy mcgrady ;)

Travel. No contest. His first step is actually his left step. Then he takes his right step. And then another left.

Watch carefully. He is finishing his dribble before he takes his first left step.

i'm not sure if this is the game-winning play, so if it's something else, i apologize. here are nba rules for travelling:

That doesn't seem as clear as NCAA rules:

So if LBJ is catching the ball (i.e. picking up his dribble) with his left foot on the floor, then his left foot is his pivot foot according to Section N.2.A., and Article 3.b.1., and therefore can only jump off his right foot.

If you release your last dribble with your left foot on the floor, and you pick up your dribble with both feet off the floor, then you can go right-left-jump, as described in Section N.2.B. and Article 3.a.2.

I think the only scenario where you can release your last dribble with your right foot on the floor and still do a right-left-jump, is if you take take two steps per one dribble. It's hard to explain, but I've seen Ginobli do this. Basically, you release the ball with your right foot on the floor, lift the right, plant the left, lift the left, then pick up the ball (while both feet are off the floor), and go right-left-jump. LBJ picked up either before or as his left was still on the floor, making his left foot his pivot, therefore travelling as soon as his left foot hit the ground again for the jump.

    Whew...

But, in the end, they didn't call it, so LBJ wins again.

Arrggghh!!! I thought the Portland game would be archived in the NBA League Pass Broadband. Evidently not.

Anywho, Lebron is out tonight due to an ankle sprain. And the Cavs are down 62-42 to the mighty Sonics. People who call this supporting cast good are the same people who still think Francis and Mike James are good too.

Did you see KD stuff Larry Hughes two consecutive possessions?

To you comment: Without LeBron, the Cavs have no heart and no brain (including the coach).
