6'8" is better than 6'10" for Lebron if he wants to handle the ball. The guy is already a high turnover machine. He will turnover the ball more if he is 6'10". Being 6'10", he will lose quickness as well. If he wants to play PF, there is no advantage for him since there are lots of 6'10" PF out there and some of them are even 7'.
I hear that Carmelo has bulked up too: http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/summer04/basketball/columns/story?columnist=stein_marc&id=1848219 Looks like these kids are going to be big time stars for many years to come. And Melo seems to have one of those special Barkley, Shaq type personalities.
IIRC 6' 9" Magic as a rookie also looked heavier than James. James will have one heck of a BB career if he has Magic's BB IQ.
i doubt his TOs go up... if anything they will go down as his decision making improves, even if he does continue to grow. he has awesome handles and great hands. 6'10", 6'8", whatever. he was the starting PG on an NBA team for much of the year as an 18 year old rookie... cut the guy the some slack!
