I agree, he freaking changed teams, boo hoo to all the people who are just mad he didn't come to tehir squad. On the way he made millions for some poor kids, yet he still gets hated? The guy cant' catch abreak plus even in his latest commercial, he is telling kids to stay in school...i mean the guy is just a nice guy surrounded by bad advice, what does kobe do in his free time? He plays ball and commits adultery and probably worse....lebron is a nice, personable, marketable guy, best ball player in the world, and trying to get kids to stay in school, yet for some reason he is the most hated? he isn't the problem, the haters are. To used to MJ/Kobe brand of selfish hero ball to be blinded from seeing the greatest to lace em up ever play now in LBJ
/thread. I don't know why people are crapping all over LeBron, in this particular thread. It is the referee's job to call infractions. He didn't.
Shouldn't people be rioting against the refs here for missing one of the easiest travels I've ever seen?? If the ref doesn't call the infraction, how is that LeBron's fault?? The refs and David Stern are the ones responsible for this low level of basketball we're witnessing.....players are simply taking advantage of the system. That still doesn't make me want to falcon punch Chris Paul any less though.....
Nope. The pace was much faster back when the big O played. He had way more possession to get his stats. While PER does not capture the true impact of a player, it is great at summarizing box score stats and making them comparable across eras. Career PER 1. Michael Jordan* 27.91 2. LeBron James 27.19 3. Shaquille O'Neal 26.43 ... 19. Kobe Bryant 23.46 20. Kevin Garnett 23.33 21. Oscar Robertson* 23.17 22. Yao Ming 23.02
I hate Lebron for his cockiness when he hasnt won anything. He promised the Cavs a championship. He even gets a tattoo really early calling himself the "chosen1." He ends up bailing on the Cavs and to go to Miami to team up with another superstar. Which is a pathetic in move. He does it by doing "the decision." He also promised multiple titles for the Heat but goes on to choke in the finals. Dude is all talk.
Because this particular one is blatant? Because LeBron does it in regularity? Same can be said about flopping and floppers.
He was driving hard to the rack, he isn't inentionally traveling. It's different than flopping, most players travel without thinking, they aren't intentionally doing it. Flopping is purposely done to try and trick the referees. Floppers should be fined.
If you base things completely on stats, then yes. In terms of team AND 1-on-1 defense, Lebron is not better than Jordan on defense. Passing, LBJ's probably better. Athletic-wise, it's very debatable. LBJ shoots more 3s, but Jordan's hardly the comparison in term of 3 point shooting. I think LBJ's horrible in making decisions on the court. He does a lot of stuff that's hardly fundamental or smart. Between him and Wade, Wade's decisions are much superior and less likely to result in turnovers, whether by him or the person he gets the ball to. As for his character, he made bad decisions. Most likely, his friends gave him bad advice. He seem like he's a decent person, but to be called the GOAT on the court, he does not have the personality to excel or push himself to his full potential because he does not seem to want all the spotlight, regardless of what happened with "The Decision." However, if you're comparing LBJ to Jordan in a year by year basis (with or without Jordan's college years), LBJ could not match Jordan in terms of effectiveness. Stats are one thing, but one's much smarter than the other on the court, and that one's not LBJ.
Sorry to hi jack the thread but this is too funny Lebron sing super freak haha <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HNOhgdgu1ao" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Shane battier eye of the tiger <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-rWqCew4Ebc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Pat riley <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ix9by1-nHVk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Here it is, Can anyone come up with an argument for this? Lebron is 27, just entering his prime, and he is already right there with MJ in terms of PER the ultimate stat. Kobe doesn't hold a candle to MJ or Kobe, he just shares a selfish hero ball that MJ had(except mj pulled it off), but lebron does it all, both ends, and is the perfect teammate. The numebrs are in folks how can anyone argue that? Greatest to lace em up at the end of the day and there is a reason KG called him the "gift" bc he is the gift to the game. Tehre is a reason teh world nicknamed him the chosen one and the king. You don't get those by accidents. -Gloria
The perception is that Lebron has more of these missed calls than other players. Sure, he's more under the microscope because he's a superstar, but I think he also tries to stretch the rules as far as possible, more than most players.
He nails it with this quote, Lebron is so good and Ithin kpeople just can't accept that he has surpasssed MJ in marketability, in playing style, and now he is just a championship(which MJ also had in his 7th season) from solidifying his place as the GOAT To him traveling, he just is so good people want to find something wrong. Lebron even knows that and people hve to realize it:
