Lebron is trying to get crawford and nash on the heat... - since its lockout, he will not get in trouble http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/216209/LeBron_Uses_Twitter_To_Court_Crawford_Nash
Both are good players, but the Heat's going to need to find a big man as well. A big and gritty center who just plays d and gets boards.
James Jones/Mike Miller not cutting it? And already regretting that Mike Miller contract I see. Nash? Good luck getting him now.
LarryCoon Larry Coon Yes. RT @SBS0311: Do you think the amnesty clause will be in the CBA? LarryCoon Larry Coon I guess I can't say Bron? Miller. RT @alex_HERinc: who do You think Miami should use it on? Miller? Anthony? Moot anyway, Nash isn't even a free agent.
Well I guess good or lucky for for Miami that they'll have that option. As for Nash, I didnt think about this(when I posted above) but I guess he could be bought out. One Heat beat writer speculates so. I still don't think so.
Even if Nash is bought out, wouldn't New York be a better destination for him. He can rejoin Stat and Pringles and run his offence again. Knicks with Nash is a legit contender
Is he kidding? Two more guys that absolutely need to dominate the ball to be effective? While I was once a big advocate for his on-court IQ, I'm starting to think LeBron doesn't really understand the game all that well...
Agreed, Sarver is too much of a cheapskate to buy out Nash. Nash’s talent and popularity are the only things left that put butts in the seats over there. Sarver’s going to milk that for all it’s worth.
the opinions on his IQ was in part because he has a great all around game. so if he had nash he would be able to focus even more on defense, rebounding, and going to the basket.
Both will help the Heat with their outside shooting is they somehow land there but the bigger need is a defensive big man who can rebound and block shots. Bosh is just a jump shooting big man that will never plug up the middle. They have a lot of money tied up with Bosh for his limited contribution to the team. The difference in final series was Tyson Chandler.
No. The Heat have LEBRON, WADE, AND BOSH. They are going to be the fastest team in the league if they add Nash, and they were already fast last year. Jamal is going to be a great sixth man if they can afford him. As for the center position, Joel is serviceable. All you need is a guy that will chase down boards, get some blocks, and can box out for rebounds. You don't need a superstar for each position to win a championship.
They already have a superstar in 3 of 5 positions, all in their prime. That's a luxury no other team in the league has. I can't stress how big of a failure Lebron's legacy would be if he has to add another all-star just to win a championship. That ring that he could get, if he does, would be more tainted than it already would be. His legacy would read "Lebron can't do it with a 60 win team, can't do it with two other superstars. He needs to play alongside 3 superstars to win his first ring". For Lebron's sake, he should know the more stars he adds to his team, the less meaningful his road to championship would be.
I'm really starting to wonder what kind of legacy he wants to leave behind. He wants to be known as the man with a crew like that?
No kidding. And if they won a title with that proposed team, I bet more people would celebrate NASH finally getting a title over Lebron getting it.
