In addition, did anyone actually see the interview? I watched a clip, and the statement is in response to a Larry King question on "Does Cleveland have an edge going into free agency?" What's Lebron going to say? No? I mean, fan sentiment-aside, he needs Cleveland to do a S&T so he can get the extra year, raises, etc. The fact that Lebron wasn't more enthusiastic in his response makes me think he's more likely to go than to stay, rather than the other way around.
Did everything humanly possible? Maybe you meant did everything humanly wrong. He had 7 years to build around Lebron and he kept filling the roster with overpaid "all in" players year after year. If Lebron leaves they have the ugliest roster in the league despite having one of the highest total salaries.

What? How does doing everything "humanly wrong" net you the best record in the regular season? Sure, the record in the reg. season doesn't mean crap when you reach the playoffs aside from having HCA throughout, but still, you can't argue that Danny Ferry did everything wrong. There is just something wrong with that team. Had Jamison started the season with the Cavs, they might be in the Finals right now, and not Boston, but there had to have been something that messed up chemistry during the ECF, for the Cavs to be knocked off. I'm not saying Ferry was the best GM, but he there really wasn't much he did wrong.
Jamison was acquired halfway, and right afterward Shaq was injured until the playoffs. They had a lot of other problems, but it didn't help when 2 starters only played with each other a handful of games
What GM in their right mind wouldn't go "all in" while carrying the best record in the league two years in a row? You're obviously referring to the Jamison trade since Shaq comes off the books. Do you mean to tell me you would have turned down the Jamison deal? You would have left what essentially amounted to Jamison for a borderline worthless first round pick on the table? Right. Not to mention he only has two years left on his deal which means you're really only "stuck" with him for one. He'll be prime trade bait once this season is over and he's still a 20 PPG player in the meantime. Big deal.
It'd be funny if LeBron leaves Cleveland, then Cleveland trades Delonte West to whichever team got LeBron.
