What does being "white" vs "hip hop" have to do with it? Are you a racist?

A GM that wants to cut off his nose to spite his face is a stupid GM.

You might become a b****, but think about how OKC (Seattle) used trading Rashard Lewis as a benefit and set themselves up nicely down the line. It's an emotional mistake to not take what you can get, especially if you're going to have to gut your team and start over.

You are 100% correct but think about it from Cleveland's point of view. Yea you look like Lebron's b**** but if its a foregone conclusion that Lebron isn't coming back would you rather have:

    a) Your dignity and no compensation whatsoever for Lebron leaving (Lebron signing outright with another team)

    or

    b) Lebron still leaves but you also get a couple of draft picks back in exchange for helping him move his women's softball-esque song and dance routine to a rival team for more money (A S&T deal).

I would choose B. As a GM, I think you have to swallow your pride here and try to do some damage control. Your star is leaving and is not coming back, you might as well and get SOME assets back.

Thank god the Bulls don't have one of the top GMs in the league. If Morey were running the show there, that would be a championship team for the next decade. But even if they do get Lebron and Bosh, there are still chemistry, surrounding pieces to worry about.

Broussard on espn ended the "LBJ and Bosh deal done to chicago" report by saying it was just speculation like every other scenario thrown out by hometown reporters. It will become more prevalent the closer we get to thursday.

It's all BS, his agent denied it.

Chris Bosh hasn’t decided on signing with Chicago or any other team, his agent told NBA.com on Sunday. A report out of New York said the soon-to-be Toronto free agent was leaning towards joining the Bulls, along with LeBron James.
“Completely untrue,” Bosh’s agent Henry Thomas told NBA.com via email. “He hasn’t decided anything.”
The most-heralded free agency class of all-time is headlined by James, Dwyane Wade and Bosh. Wade is also a Thomas client. Thomas also told NBA.com recently that Wade and Bosh would keep all their options open.
James has decided, according to various reports, to host potential suitors in Ohio once free agency officially opens Thursday. The six teams believed to be visiting LeBron on his turf are Cleveland, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Miami and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Dallas is trying to get into that mix, a league source told NBA.com Sunday. The Mavericks are hopelessly over the cap, but that hasn’t dampened the front office’s enthusiasm for making a pitch for the league’s most-coveted free agent.
Bosh was recently in Miami and has listed the Heat as a possible destination. Toronto general manager Bryan Colangelo has also said that the Raptors would consider a sign-and-trade with Bosh if a new deal isn’t worked out.

The next best thing to the Rockets getting those players would be the Bulls resurrecting their franchise with likely the greatest off season in NBA history. This would be a wet dream if the Bulls can pull it off.

Chicago deserves it, the best fans in basketball.

Dynasties are boring. Nothing would kill my interest quicker than the same team winning six or seven championships in a row.

There's no more assuming going on than when any other big move is on the table. Lebron (and even Rondo) has won plenty when it mattered most. He never won it all because his team just wasn't good enough. That's all there is to it.

What????? Did you even bother reading the quote I replied to?

My point was you do NOT need a dominant inside scoring to win a championship. Where on earth you got I was comparing LeBron and Bosh to MJ i have no clue.

Noah, Rose, LBJ, and Bosh cant beat LA? i think they would manhandle any team that is thrown at them. the only position LA would have an advantage at is SG. even Houston will have problems facing that team. Rose always lights us up. We would have to depend on LBJ and Bosh both having bad games and Yao having a great game.

"Why help them with a S&T?"

Because having a massive TE is a lot more useful than letting them walk. If LeBron leaves Cleveland and the waive their rights to Shaq, they'll be just barely under the cap: no MLE, and less than MLE cap space to sign someone else. They're left with a Australian League roster of talent and no way to rebuild.

Pocket the TE, and at worst they could make a play for someone like Al Jefferson or Gilbert Arenas.

Toronto would have a little more cash to spend...but their remaining roster is awful and they historically suck at drawing free agents.

    Can deng play 2?

Rose is more of a scorer than a passer.

    I'd still take the Lakers.

You act like Bosh is a proven postseason player.
