I disagree, Lebron is a much better passer than T-Mac! It'd be like having Yao, T-Mac, and Rafer... but without Rafer. T-Mac is getting old and seems to have lost the passion lately. Yao and Lebron WILL dominate the league for years to come, if they get the chance to play together. Lebron of 07!!
Excellent. After we acquire James for TMac we can trade JHo for Duncan, Bowen for Kobe, and Bogans for Steve Nash. That would give us an excellent lineup. Yes... The chance of ever acquiring Lebron James is nil.
I spit my coffee all over the keyboard when I read this post. And that the thread starter gave you such a serious reply makes it even more funnier.
Man, can we park it with the Lebron of '07 campaign. We sound like those pathetic Laker Fans that thought they had a chance at Yao or Amare in 2006. Neither of those guys hit the market and they ended up looking like fools. Same thing will happen to Lebron. He'll sign a max extension, collect $55 million over that 4 year stretch, and then opt out to see what his options are. Lebron is staying in Cleveland until at least 2011.
I don't see having two dominate post players being very successful in this run and gun fast pace league. We need more athleticism to compliment Yao, one dominant post player is enough! WE NEED LEBRON JAMES......(zoom in) & $1 Trillion Dollars!!
you're right....the threads about wondering where TMAC is at, or wondering why rafer kissed a ref, are much better. what threads have you posted? I forgot that I was in the 100% brilliant post forum. hopefully there will be more "ROLL CALLS" or "RED ALERT" talk, because they are obviously the true fan threads. Im sure that it was ridiculous to think that TMAC would be a Rocket at one point, too, but what do I know, I am just a stupid poster.
Yao Chuck Norris TMAc LeBron Rocketforever This team can go deep into the playoff too. Chuck will roundhouse anyone who dare to drive into the paint.
Actually yeah it was...and it stayed that way until Doc Rocket broke the news that a trade was in the works. Just because there's a miniscule (and I'm talking TINY) chance it could happen doesn't mean it's not a ridiculous idea. Unless there's conclusive evidence otherwise, entertaining the idea of something that's VERY improbable won't get you any serious responses. If I started a thread proposing that a thunderstorm might hit Houston tomorrow without any conclusive evidence, people would be willing to discuss it. On the other hand, if I started a thread suggesting that the sun would rise in the west tomorrow without empirical evidence, everyone would point and laugh.
Wow! What are we, imitating Laker fans now with the whole "we're gonna lure Yao Ming to LA" crap? Shameful!
WTF? at least make some sense. lebron was drafted in 2003. the t-mac/francis trio trade went down in 2004. that's not an either or situation. and no team in 2003 was going to trade the #1 pick (especially cleveland).
Wasn't Lebron Boo'd at home recently? Cleveland better watch how they treat Lebron. That said, if Lebron threatened to walk, wouldn't Cleveland have to trade him to get anything in return? McGrady might very well find himself in Cleveland if that were the case, but that would mean that Tmac would be in decline more than likely. Why wouldn't Lebron want to play here? Who knows the future? But for now, Tmac needs to start playing better, and we need to start winning.
i usually dont bother with bad threads. meaning i dont point out how stupid they are. but when you have one thread starter being an ass when someone is making an obvious joke... well i just had to chime in and say that lebron james coming here is about as likely as shaq coming here to play PF while Yao holds down the center spot.
Get your facts straight before stating something. If you took the time to browse those threads, you will see i didnt post once in them. why you ask? because they are stupid threads just like this one. The "Red alert" and section 101 thread is not stupid b/c its an informative source for Clutchfans who are interested in being involved with the team. The fact that you compare your thread with that of "Red Alert" is ignorant in itself.
Lebron has been getting booed in Cleveland lately, which is absolutely insane. I'd guess that Isiah Thomas is actually paying fans in Cleveland to boo Lebron James, but that'd be entirely too brilliant an idea to belong to Isiah Thomas. I honestly don't think it's unlikely that Lebron James will leave the year he's a free agent. If the Cavs keep missing the playoffs and the fans keep booing him, why (other than the money) would he want to stay? He's native to Ohio, sure, but come on, we don't even expect native Texans to stay in Texas if a team elsewhere is offering them the right money and Texans have more state pride than anyone. If Lebron does leave Cleveland it will probably be a sign and trade. I can't imagine him signing with a team that is far enough under the cap to offer him max dollars, because those teams always suck. If it's a sign and trade, I imagine the Cavs will expect a package of young talent and draft picks. I'd be surprised if they'd take another superstar in exchange, but I could be wrong. I'd really be surprised if they'd be willing to consider T-Mac for Lebron straight up. More importantly, I'd be surprised if the Rockets would pull the trigger on that deal (unless of course his back has continued to deteriorate, in which case Cleveland wouldn't be interested) because there is the issue of chemistry and loyalty. It's a proven fact that the teams that win championships usually kept the same core for years. Hopefully, by 2007, we'll be competing for a championship. Why risk messing that up?
I think we are giving up on Tracy way too quickly. All this talk/speculation of getting Lebron reminds me of the Yao for KG stuff et al. I firmly believe that Yao and Tracy (when healthy in mind & spirit), along with the right role players can and will lead us to championships. I honestly don't think Lebron is going anywhere (the recent booing notwithstanding). I am happy with Yao and Tracy as our centerpieces. Now what we really need are the right role players around them, not a new super star.
Its too bad that he sucks at closing out game and is unclutch from the field and free-throw line. I mean, whose gonna close out the game or is willing to take the last shot for us? Lookin at Lebron's history he sure doesn't fall in that category and Yao is not the type either. I rather have a healthy T-Mac and Yao anyday. Its pathetic of people to judge T-Mac's future from one bad season. This guy had countlessly proven to lead a team, even a bunch this year before his personnel problems arise. I promise you, he will be back....
They'd do it in a second. LeBron is 5 1/2 years younger than TMac in actual years, and 10 years younger in NBA wear and tear years. Having LeBron and Yao on the same team would guarantee 10 years of sellouts. Unfortunately, there's probably only a one in 1000 chance of us being so lucky.
