Yeah and sue him and suspend him then give him a lesson of how to treat people with respect on enemy field during a close game
the Lebron thing and the Pierce are totally different. The Pual Pierce is ok, the kid is rooting for the other team, why he is so happy that Pierce made a big basket? I wouldnt be happy, and wanted to high five any player in the court that made a big play on the rockets. the other thing, lebron is arrogant, the first time, he is going to just drop the clothes on the floor but then he sees the kid is going to grab the clothes and he pulls away the pants. So, in your office you throw papers in the ground, just because its another man job to take out the trash, and keep the office clean? no you throw the paper in the trash. its the same you have to help others to make his job easier. not because you earn millions more you will do somethin like that.
Perhaps next time he should wash, dry, fluff, fold and deliver it to the "ball boy" in a laundry basket. Much ado about nothing.
Would you feel differently if this were a 50-year-old man working as locker room attendant/equipment guy?
I don't understand what it being the chance of a lifetime for a kid has to do with anything. It's still rude regardless...
not throwing the ball to the ref is to slow the game down so ur team can get back on defence. Its kind of different from throwing your warm up clothes to the ball boy. it does not affect the game in any way. Its just a damn annoying move by lbj, it a little kid ffs. Why dog him like that. Another reason to hate on lbj. he is a great player, in fact one of the GOAT. But I can not stand the guy, all the showboating, all the hype without winning anything, I know its not all his fault, but i just find it hard to cheer for him.
THat was a douche move. And people are saying other players do this too, then all those players are douchebags. It doesn't make it right. that's just messed up.
yea that was a douche move by lebron, who cares about 'enemy territory' this is a damn child, really... its apart of my bias against this guy that started in the all star weekend in houston(actually before with the media glorifying everything he does like no other), but yea and its apart of why i began to like kobe so much more i saw these guys behind the scenes when cameras were there and without them, and when there were no cameras around, kobe, who i guess has the reputation and is supposed to be this cocky antisocial jerk, was the nicest guy to me of all the members on the team that i came across, this is with no cameras he made conversation with me, that was pretty damn cool of him, certainly made my day, and the worst the guys who just woudnt give time of day and no this was not with a big crowd pestering him so fort, this is behidn the scenes were Lebron and Vince.....and guess who changed his stance the most once some cameras came his way, mr pr, james. his attitude, talking about himself in 3rd person, so on, the guy is just not likable unless your only source is espn
No kidding. I see these kinds of things happen all the time in the NBA and other pro sports. I can't believe some of the posters in this thread who say they have never seen anything like this happen (or even worse the guy who naively believes that no Rockets player would ever do something like this unless he saw video evidence of it). Pay more attention, guys. This sort of thing happens regularly. I always just assumed it was because players were in the zone (physical and/or mental attention being placed elsewhere). A complete non-issue whether it is Lebron or the last scrub on the Rockets bench.
Sorry I didn't see it in the other thread. It's not really an insult nor clever. My buddies and I just feel more comfortable saying it that way for some reason. It's a really old habit, since he was drafted pretty much... Just like MerGady. It just so happened that I dislike them both, while my buddies love them.
99% of the time, the players throw the warmups on the ground because the ball boy is no where near. it's the routine, it's what the players do all the time. Lebron isn't thinking about the kid right now, he's focusing on the game. I bet he didn't even realize he did that, just doing what he does every time he comes into the game. And honestly, it wouldn't surprise me the ball boy is instructed not to try and take the warm ups directly from players, just to pick up after them. For all we know, the ball boy is breaking protocol. I'm no fan of Lebron, but I don't see this as an issue. If you want to find reasons to think Lebron is a jerk, this incident doesn't need to be included to make a compelling case.
