    That was incredible.

Seriously, people, please set aside your biases and recognize that not many players like LeBron come through the NBA. 6'8" 245 with ungodly skills and a fire in his heart, that may be as rare as Michael and Wilt.

One of the most amazing individual performances I've ever seen. What did he drop like 30 of the last 31 points for the Cavs? Detroit threw everything at him, and still ended up looking stupid. Dunks, off balance 3's, everything. I think his critics can finally be silenced after that display.

man it's not very tough to say lebron is better than u.

but at least tmac owns lebron when he faces him straight up though :D

but really, it's an honor for tmac to be mentioned w/ guys like lebron and kobe. those guys are on another level. they are the super duper star. tmac is now just a superstar.

if he wants to be a super duper star, he has to prove it.

there's a reason why he was the most hyped player in history ever since jr. high school.

we have not seen the best of him yet. soon he will be doing this on a consistent basis.

Flip Saunders is not known for his playoff success. Short rotations spell the demise of playoff run for both Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns. Pistons are no exceptions. Still, if Saunders had switched to hack-a-king tactic late in the game, we would have been in James FT missing talkathon for weeks.

Am I the only one who thought the great performance was a product of some piss poor defense? Ok...Bron was very aggressive and hit some tough jumpers as well, but I can't think of the last major playoff game where a dude was getting open dunks to send it to OT, win it, etc. I counted at least 5 dunks/lay-ups for him in the 4th and those OT's.

I thought the same too, not to take anything away from LeBron, he was great of course...but damn what was detroit thinking? Layups on game-tying and game-winning possessions?

Those weren't easy layups. It takes great speed, power, and body control to convert on those shots. I'd say only Kobe, Wade, and LeBron can consistently attack the basket like that so late in the game.

I think what were seeing is a maturation infront of our eyes..

Lebron... passes the ball... and they lose the game...

the next game he shoots but misses they lose...

this game he just hogs the ball scores 29 of the last 30 points for the team....and leads the team to victory...

bottom line is if your going to take most of the shots... be the #1 option...

    you better produce...

Sad that his teammates were 0-10 in the 4th and OT's. Don't tell me he isn't everything to that team.

Huh? The dunk to win the game wasn't really contested...he just blew by his man. Same for the one to send it into OT. Props for blowing by your man and attacking....but once he got by there really wasn't much pressure to stop him from converting. No hard foul...I mean this is the ECF (and he really isn't a great FT shooter).

Isn't it a basketball sin to lose a game on a dunk?

Yes but shouldnt Detroit had forced the ball out of his hands before he crossed the 3 pt line at least?

I'm not sure what game you were watching, but the game winner was a layup where he split 3 defenders and was fouled on his left arm.

Well was the one to send it to OT a dunk? He had so many.

Fouling him on the left arm (so small of a foul that he didn't get the and 1) really isn't the kind of defense needed. Aren't you supposed to put him on his ass, wrap up, etc...make sure he shoots FT's? I finished watching inside the nba and Barkley was saying the same thing. There is no way a dude should be making multiple game winning layups/dunks in a playoff game....definately not a shaky FT shooter.

The thing that separates kobe and lebron from t-mac is the killer instinct of those two. The alpha dog mentality so to speak. T-Mac settles for difficult jumpers with an erratic jumpshot instead of smelling blood and attacking.

I like tracy a lot, but that mentality is why i'd rather have kobe or lebron on the rockets instead of him.

It certainly wasn't good defense on detroit's part but the moral of the story is if you attack good things happen.

if lebron was in the west, he'd be labeled a pu$$y who can't get out of the first round. he was amazing tonight but i'm so jaded against the east im just not impressed.

if he leads them to the title i'll eat a whole bunch of crow for sure, but it ain't happening this year.

I'm not so sure. the difference in lebron and t-mac is night and day to me. Replace tracy with lebron, rockets beat utah at minimum, because james attacks while tracy settles far too often. The pistons are still a very good team and he put on a performance for the ages tonight.

You can also add in the fact that Tracy never made it out of the 1st round in the Eastern Conference.
