Steelers are clearly the best run franchise in NFL history. Even more so when you look at other potential dynasties that imploded in the late '80s and early '90s: Niners due to the cap, Cowboys based on a bar fight between owner and coach, and Raiders between chasing away Shanahan, getting outbid by the CFL for Rocket Ismail, drafting Amy Winehouse at quarterback and vowing to "destroy" Marcus Allen.
I agree. They are good all the time and they keep their coaches forever which means they hire the right ones.
It's a very sad day for Pittsburgh. I know that for me, personally, LeBeau is practically all I've ever known. All you can really hope for is that the matter was handled delicately behind-the-scenes. Anything else would be a slap in the face.
