Avery Johnson. I laughed when I first saw him as an assistant.

    true this 10x

would have the respect of his players? absolutely

would his players have his respect? not at all

MJ would be out there coaching thinking "damn i am 45 and I can still hustle these chumps"

    Dennis Freakin Rodman!

    Wants to coach!

Dennis Rodman is in the news, which isn't all that surprising considering he's a renowned publicity hound. This time, he's looking to break into the coaching fraternity (sorority?) starting with a job in the WNBA. Atlanta is getting a new franchise, and The Worm is throwing his hat into the mix to lead it. From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Terwilliger suggested that Teresa Edwards, a former All-American at Georgia and current assistant with the Minnesota Lynx, is one of the leading candidates. I'm not sure I've even heard the name Teresa Edwards before five minutes ago, but I'm already convinced she'd be a better choice than Rodman.

You think lack of head coaching experience is what's holding Rodman back? Try the fact that an organization headed by Rodman would make MSG's work environment look like a Saturday morning cartoon. Road trips would be week-long orgies, and we'd probably see the first "DNP-STD" appear in the box score.
