On Directv's web site, they show it is four payments of $41.99 for a total of $167.96. Supposedly on 11/4 it goes up $20.
Ok, Just got off the phone with Time Warner Austin....they still do NOT have it in their system. Not sure what Sandi did, but I could not get it...said call back in a couple of weeks. Please explain how...... DD
So who is going to get it this year? Do you guys recommend it? I got a few questions about it. 1. Is it reliable? Ive heard that a fair few games fail to load and/or blackout? 2. Im in Australia, and the internet gets capped here after a certain number of downloads. How big is streaming one whole game? 500mb? 3. Can i even get it in Aus? 4. Anyone (particularly overseas users) have any other problems with it? Cheers guys.
Why doesn't Uverse have LP yet? They said last year they were in negotiations to get it and still they've gotten jack. I'm so close to changing to DirecTV.
From last year there is International League Pass ( ilp.nba.com ) and is for people outside of US. As I know blackouts only apply if national TV in Australia (in your case) is broadcasting some match (doubt it'll be some Rockets match - so you can watch it without blackout). About can you get it in Australia, I can get it here in Macedonia so I don't see any reason why shouldn't you too And now for the price, I really don't know but I think it'll be around 100$ for regular season ('cause the playoffs were 29$ Standard quality and 39$ HD). About the bandwidth I made some calculations ('cause yes, I have limited net too) and it's about 650 MB for SD and about 1.3GB for HD. Maybe I'm mistaken but +/- it's that.
I'm fixing to sign up for League pass for direct tv but I couldn't even find the game last night. I'm concern on how this is going to work out. NBA always have issues with these things. You don't get the same issues with NFL ticket and MLB.
Get on it. I am also in Australia and it was a great investment.... got my moneys worth out of it and then some. No blackouts that I ever encountered and that included games that were being played on ESPN. I had ZERO problems with it, any problems I did have were due to my ISP or my computer screwing up. Quality is as good as you can expect and for the first couple of months i only had a 1.5mbps connection and had no buffer problems. If you watch the entire game on average you are probably looking at anywhere from 550-700mb. Turn off at the end of qtrs and during time outs etc. and you will save a bit.... or just have a nice big limit as I do. Who is your ISP if you don't mind me asking?
Oh, sorry....I have not called them yet this year. Just saw the deal offer. I get League Pass every year......in fact, the very first year it was offered here in Austin, they told me I was Austin's very first League Pass customer. I have never had any problems getting it.....guess I have never called them quite this early.
Judging by last year, they tend to screw up the preseason games, then they geth their s#$% together when a bunch of people call in. I had Directv last year and there were some problems with the first 2 preseason games, but after that it worked very smoothly. I'm switching to DishNetwork this year, but that has nothing to do with LP
Just FYI I switched from dish last year to dtv... dish had it even worse they didnt have LP available for purchase till about 2 weeks into the season also I got like 3-4x as many games in HD on DTV and not dish network..unless they changed the way they do HD games but I had LP for 2 years on Dish I i usually got at most 1-2 games in HD a night (on the NBA LP channels) on DTV I would get all the games in HD except maybe 1-2 a night some nights would get all the games in HD. hopefully they got their thing straight regarding LP at dish so you can order it with no hassles but I had a lot of issues last year thats for sure
Nope.. I couldn't find it on tv. I need to make sure mine is turned on though because I didn't get the notice that it was added to my bill.
We decided to switch to Dish because our 2 year contract with DTv was finishing, and the cost savings ended up being about 50% less per month. Hopefully, things will go ok with LP....but I think with both companies you end up with problems no matter what. For example, DTv says their signal is without trouble 99.9% of the time or something like that, yet every single freaking time it rains, my signal would cut in and out.
this happens every year with the confusion. DD is right about Time Warner. However I noticed that some posters are asking about League Pass Broadband/LPBB International. This confusion happens every year as well. like the poster matty101 from Australia, he/she is asking about Broadband access for viewing games on the Internet. This can purchased through nba.com outside of cable companies. I haven't seen any adverts for LPBB yet, but I also know that most customers from last year should check to see if their account is set to auto-renew.
But you get the broadband free when you buy league pass, which is why I want to do it now, so I can fax in my cable bill to make sure I get the games when I am traveling. DD
hey im in aruba and im looking for league pass but i have some random digital cable from this company called setar but im thinking about doing that online league pass, has anyone used it and how good is the stream? i have a fiber optic connection im just waiting for that dang link to work on nba.com. also another quick question, i know if you order league pass via dishnetwork dont you get the online service free, so if my family was to order it back home could i possibly use that here in aruba or would there be some random block because im in a different country. thanks alot guys
Me four, I guess. I just wish they would set it up so you could order a specific team for like 50 bucks or something. Close to $200 for the season is a little steep, but you do what to got to do. It's better than having to go to the bar for every game, did that last year and spent a ton. I told myself I would leave after the games, but never did.
