Oh really? that's music to ear! I hope they keep it that way as long as I am their customer. Not sure about DirectTV, but there is no question Time Warner sucks when it comes to programming packages and fees.
Look at this, not only NBATV but also the internet broadcast and selected HD games! The only difference is: If you only order NBATV without LP, you get channel 402. The NBATV included in LP is channel 560, duplicate channels.
Being as I have no otherperson to watch games with and do not have the resources for the LP, is there any place you fans in Austin meet and watch the games?
I think including NBA TV in league pass is something DISH does exclusively but not positive maybe Directv or TWC does/will do it. I have dish network and its my first time ordering league pass, are the selected HD games the games on NBA TV? I remember that most if not all games on NBA TV are in HD. I have a NBA HD channel (9000 something) that is off air for right now but I am assuming any NBA TV games will be shown on that channel if there are in HD. If there is a game on one of the NBA channels that has a local HD broadcast does LP show the HD broadcast? Like if the Kings are playing the Bucks and the Bucks local station has a HD broadcast would that be shown in HD on a NBA channel? Just curious if anyone has had experience with having Dish network and LP w/ an HDTV. Or if someone has had LP and HD what games are shown in HD?
Here's a related question, and sorry if this has been answered somewhere - this is my first year outside of Houston in a long time, and I dcouldn't afford League Pass last time I was away. This time maybe. The question is - do they carry the local feed from the home team? In other words, if you watch Rox games on League Pass, are the home games called by Bill and Clyde?
You never know until game time. That's been my experience, anyway. You can have a series of games with Bill and whomever, and be thinking, "Cool! They're using the Houston announcers this year!" Then guess what... you won't have them for a long stretch. It's frustrating. You would think that someone could request a particular feed. It's not like they don't have a bazillion channels potentially available, but you can't, and you are subject to the whim of the people putting on LP. Maybe someday we'll have more choice about things like that. Heaven knows we pay enough for it. Maybe someone else can explain it better. It can be quite frustrating.
How is it in other cities? Here in San Antonio,I find that Warner Cable wont be able to order League Pass till next week!!
No, but with the new Inernet access you don't need NBA TV I think, you could probably just watch those games on the computer. DD
it's been a few years, but me and my houston friends used to go up to the tavern all the time. there are a few other places scattered about, but i cant remember names offhand.
Hey do u gotta be 21 to get into either of those places, or i am way off in assuming they are bars lol
I'll cut and paste this from tonight's game thread... and it's great news! I just got off the phone with a T/W representative, and he said that EVERY Rockets and Mavs game will be on LP in Austin this season, except for the times they play the Spurs, and those will be broadcast in Austin locally. YES!!!! And he said that almost all the Mavs games will be on HDTV channels in Austin, which means I'll be watchin' the Rocks kick their sorry butts every game in HD!
