I was just about to check with you, because SwiftRocket wanted it if you didn't. I will order sometime this weekend or early next (before the first preseason game). Maybe something could be worked out where SwiftRocket could get in, too. If not, that is cool too, and you responded first, so obviously you'd get first dibs for it. I can't remember for sure but I thought the auto renewal was a NBA League pass thing. I say that because down in San Antonio I had TW and they auto renewed me. Up here in Denton I had Dish Network and they auto renewed. I then switched to Verizon Fios (wasn't thinking) for one week last year (just before the season) and realized that they didn't have nor could they say if they will ever have LP. Dropped them and paid the fine and went back to Dish Network. I just read DIsh Network faq on LP and they said that if the channels (in the guide) are not in red then you are to be renewed. Also, all the LP channels came up recently so that might be a sign there are getting ready. So, as of now, I'm good for league pass though I haven't seen the charge yet.
just talked to a rep from Dish Network and she said that LP started in march and ended oct 30th... i tried to explain to her that that was not really possible seeing as the preseason starts in two days, but i guess maybe we can't order until the regular season starts? i'm very confused and i hate the fact that NO ONE knows what league pass is at Dish Network.
Hey chill.. they told me the same thing.. BUT, if you ordered it last year, it should auto renew before the regular season starts so you should be good before the regular season. If you are just ordering it though, they said call back around maybe the 20th of October and they will have it. It's like this every year, I don't know why people complain. What do you want to do with it right now anyways? Preseason games aren't gonna be shown on it, so really there's no use for it at this moment.
oops, didnt realize that preseason games weren't shown on LP. definitely have no use for it until the regular season. thanks for the info.
yeah on Dish Network last year League Pass showed the last 5 or so preseason games and the first week of the regular season on a free preview, so I'm really hoping for that again....
Did any of you guys get the preseason games today? And if so, where? what channel... I'm in Denver on Comcast and they aren't ready for me to order League Pass (they said call back in a few days), and doesn't look like they have any free preview going on. Hoping to figure something out before Tues.
I emailed to leaguepass@nba.com asking information about their League Pass Broadband programmes when this thread started. So far no reply at all. .
Like I said in a thread in the GARM, I bet the NBA will be making some kind of announcement regarding NBA League Pass, NBA TV and online distribution of games before the season starts. Some things may be changing.
i think Dish auto renewed me. Last week i had only one NBA LP "HD" channel in the hd channel area (ch 94XX area) and now I have like 8 or 9 like I did last year when i had LP. No idea about preseason though. When i did call Dish last week they had no idea about LP
i have directv... No LP channels even exist yet..dono whats going on...i scrolled from channels 500-800...and no NBA LP channels even exist...my NBAtv channel still works tho... dono whats going on with them this year..i always watch all the rockets preseason games on LP in previous years...dont know why this year is different..seems more disorganized
how much is league pass? is it like $200 for the entire season? i just called dish network and the lady told me that it's still from March 08 to October 08 for $50. won't let me sign up for the new season. so my question is, if i sign up for the upcoming season, can i still see the preseason games? also, it's just a one time payment right? thanks.
DirecTV automatically renews. I would have to cancel not to receive it. Are preseason games on League Pass?
Ordered mine today from DirecTV. I cannot wait for this season to start. I've had it through Dish Network and Comcast in the past, but I've never had any preseason games on. Maybe I'll be surprised this year. Otherwise, it's preseason courtesy of Rockets2K.
somehow it feels better that it seems no one else knows whats going on either. i was told to call comcast back on the 12th or 13th.
I just checked my directv account as an auto renewal. It already has the first payment scheduled for this month's payment. So I should be good to go.
yes! dish network guide says that there's a free preview of league pass for the preseason starting tonight. It didn't say that yesterday so I'm really hoping this is true and I don't have to worry about finding a link....
calling dish they are saying its unavailable until start of the season. they are really pissing me off over there i may start looking into directv since i am no longer any contract with dish network edit: the supervisor said she had no idea of any free preview guide or anything
