    2021 Rockets salary:
    1) John Wall.........: $44.3M
    2) Eric Gordon.....: $18.2M
    3) C Wood............: $13.7M
    4) Kevin Porter......: $1.8M
    5) Tate...................: $1.5M
    6) k.J. Martin.........: $1.5M
    7) Mason Jones.....: $2.8M (approx....I believe House salary went up to $2.3M or $2.8M)
    _________________________________
    ............................... $83.8M

    Free Agent pick ups:
    Otto Porter: I think we can get him for $14M to $16M. 27 years old.....6’8”.....12 pts......40% (3P%)
    Olynyk: $13M (approx) .....................................................29 years old.....6’11”....10 pts.....35% (3P%)
    Frank Kaminsky: $3M to $4M (approx)...........................27 years old.....7’0”........7 pts......39% (3P%)

That would put the Rockets roughly at $114M to $117M

    Draft
    Charles Bassey: https://www.google.com/search?q=charles+bassey+you+tube&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari

    or Roko Prkacin (F) [Cibona]

    Rockets Roster (21/22)
    PG) J Wall.....................Mason Jones
    SG) Eric Gordon............K Porter
    SF) Otto Porter..............Tate, K Martin
PF) C Wood...................[Otto P, Tate, K Martin] Roko Prkacin (if drafted)
    C) Olynyk.......................Frank Kaminsky, Bassey

Want Gorgui Dieng, but may be too expensive.
Not sure Wall or Eric Gordon will be moved at this deadline.

2022 is a very good draft in the top 5-6. Honestly, it would probably be best long term for the Rockets to tank and get a draft pick in the top 5-6. The Rockets would then be able to use their picks for another player they like in the draft or trade them for better future picks.

I don’t want any of those free agents. None of them long term help the Rockets and only potentially screw with the Rockets lottery chances next year. If the Rockets want a true franchise player they will need to draft them. No one elite will want to come here without a star already here. I would rather keep the cap space open and take back bad contracts for more draft picks.

Yes, I was thinking one year deals on all of those free agents.

I wanted Kaminsky over the summer but I was told no way by CF’s......he has been more than adequate for Suns.

This year is rehab year for John Wall. I expect him to play a notch better next season.
    Tate will be much improved.
Mason Jones is going to take big steps forward.
Wood will improve with the system under his belt after this season.

You can’t keep hiding from winning and the current young players from growing. Those 4 above mentioned will
have us at 8th seed. The Otto/Olynyk/Kaminsky help us compete by moving Wood to PF. They fit well in the offensive
    system of Silas.

In a recent mock draft Bassey and Roko land in the 25 thru 27th range. Rockets could move up or back.

Picks can be used to move up in the draft by packaging them or used to help possibly moving Wall.
At this point I wouldn’t use a first to move Eric Gordon.

I like Tate but I am pointing his PEAK as a Ron Artest type.
That means he would be a SOLID #2 guy
If you not going with WOOD
Then the #1 guy is not on this team yet
    IMO
