I've got a 23" and I sit normal (arm length) distance. Works fine.

I am thinking of going for the 32" or 37" for PC and TV...but want to know how far it has to be to see the whole screen.

the thing about LCD tv/monitors is that they have low resolutions so everything is pretty big

The TV is right in front of me like a normal monitor. I actually like it. There are some quirks though. The resolution of the TV is 1366x768 so the icons are a larger than a pure PC monitor of this size and the text is not as sharp. Also, the TV has a VGA input dedicated for computers (which is how I'm connected), but it's analog. It has a HDMI port but I haven't tried hooking up my computer to it using a DVI to HDMI cable. The TV is really nice. It has a built in hi-def reciever and very nice sound.

I was going to buy a normal LCD monitor for my computer but when I started looking I decided to go with an LCD TV so I could play the xbox 360 in hi-def in addition to watching TV and using it as a monitor.

I have a Dell 20.1" widescreen LCD... and it is sexy. I work on a 19" Samsung LCD at the office, and it is pretty fly too.

When I have money to spent, I want a new PC with a LCD as bad as anyone, but they won't go on sale. After I have no money, here comes all the sale with 20 inch LCD.....................

Question for people who have had lcd's for awhile.

    How sturdy/reliable are they?

I mean do they have pixel problems, or other issues like I hear about with the really expensive tv's, and some video game units? The reason I'm asking is that I'm in the market for one, and I know that some places offer extended warranties for them. I usually think they're too expensive, and just stick with the mfw, but if something has a high likelyhood of breaking down I might think about it.

    Thanks.

I wouldn't buy it online, there is a high chance of dead pixels on the screen right out of the box. If you buy it from lets say wal-mart, then you can just go exchange it for one that has no dead pixels.

I've had my Dell for over 3 years. Not a pixel is missing. I've had no problems with any of my LCD's.

    My current setup
