Your friend should definitely get a lawyer. Go down to the criminal courthouse on a weekday morning and she'll find plenty of defense attorneys (with various fee schdeules) willing to talk to her.
This. For the same reason that if you're in an auto accident, you never, ever talk to the insurance company of the other driver(s). Doesn't matter if you weren't at fault.
Freik, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. Your friend should find herself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because she's probably wanted for murder.
I'm still trying to figure out how the detective found out who it was, her email, and her address if no one else knew? Or did everyone in the bar know her that personally well?
There was a guest list that included the email address and the name. Her name is not common, so running it thru the db would probably only return one result.
There's no proof that the email got delivered to him so tell him to just ignore and act if he never received anything.
This is a great point. If the cop is sending an email then the issue probably isn't very important. Just ignore the emails and screen your calls and this thing will just work itself out
