To the point you brought up then, So drafting Aaron brooks at pg in 2007 on a team with all other pg's on the roster over 30 was not a need
Granger is NOT a wing at this stage of his career. He's a stretch-4. He was mostly too big and slow to play wing in the first place as he always struggled defensively against the quickness of wings in the NBA. Now he's for sure a stretch-4. Just YOLO making nothing out of nothing with the "we don't need another wing" comment.
We weep no longer lose the TO battle because of the bank court of Ty Lawson and Harden. No way you can cheat on either of those guys
I agree, trading TJones without getting a ready to contribute PF in return would be idiotic. We'd be so weak at the PF spot. Harrell is not ready yet.
have to agree with this post. i also noticed harrell jacking up quite a few low percentage shots while calling for the ball incessantly -- not sure if he'll automatically defer to the real players once he gets on the big boy court. versus jones longterm, it's hard to say how he will develop. jones main issue imo is his head and how he often disappears in big games. at game 6 in LA he actually made several very key plays in the first several minutes of our comeback. against GS he was horrid. harrell seems to rise in big games, but i'm not entirely sold on his fundamentals or even his heralded athleticism. like you, i wouldn't be surprised if he never even cracks an nba rotation.
He'll be spending most of the season in the d-league with Sikma coaching him, and whenever he makes it to a Rockets practice, he'll have Hayes by his side. Plus, a few appearances here and there by Hakeem and Carroll Dawson. Then there is of course the team's superstar center. If a young big man can't learn the importance of fundamentals on this team, chances are he'll never get it.
LOL Harrell is not beating TJ for minutes next season as along as TJ is injury free. Harrell is D League fodder for now
