I agree SwiftRocket, Stromile's potential is through the roof and this is the player the Rockets need in this draft even more than Martin.

Mitch Lawrence has spoken. He must be some kind of genious figuring out that the Rocks' want Swift. He'll probably end up with a Peabody for that scoop.

Well, we finally got Swift.. :D

Stromile was one of the first of many players I remember fantasizing about getting on this board, partly because of threads like this one. It's kind of weird to see it come true in a way.

lol, no kidding. when we got swift my buddy called me up and was like, man we finally got him. 5 years ago we raved about how great a fit he would be and now he has that chance just with a much better team than we had.

An ironic thing is that Orlando had a very similarly talented lineup last year before trading Mobley away. Just substitute D. Howard for Swift and Grant Hill for Anderson.

Guess that "championship core" didn't turn out so well.

I really was hoping this thread would be bumped up because I think the first post I ever made was the one in this thread. I even named myself after Stromile Swift because I really thought we were going to be able to draft Swift! But now my tag name is perfect!!!!!!!!! :D

Have you been lurking all this time because you couldn't take the embarassment of publicizing your name? :D

What's funny is that people are still overhyping this guy five years later. Imagine if Jersey would have taken Martin over him.
