Trade Wall and pony up some money for him? I think he could be worth it, thou im sure people will come in here and say no. I would. C- Lauri Markkanen PF - Wood SF - Duncan Robinson SG - Kevin Porter PG - Cade That team look nice tbh.
I like Markkanen and Robinson, but that's got to be the worst defensive front court in the league. Also, this is based on a pretty big assumption that Houston can move Wall. If Wall is gone, a buyout seems way more likely. Honestly, I'd rather have Olynyk at a cheaper price than what Markkanen will get, even considering their ages.
I would be ok with Lauri but couldn’t have Robinson too. Would rather KMJ start at the 3, between Robinson, Wood and Lauri there’s not much defense.
I was keen on him because of his ability to space the floor, but I don't think he should be targeted. He can't rebound much, nor can he defend.
That would be my worst nightmare. Paying up for a play-in tournament level team. We'd probably have to pay 1.5x what any other team would have to pay to get a player here. Also, even if we get Cade, there's no rush to make the playoffs right away. Almost all off the superstars now, LeBron, KD, Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, Kawhi, Luka, missed the playoffs as rookies and they're doing just fine. Trust the process.
I would like Olynyk as a fall back but in order to BUILD a roster, we need a younger player to pare with Wood and KPJ moving forward.
