    You are hilarious. Your argument is that yes Bush did support adding a ban to the constitution permanently forbidding gay marriage, but because it wasn't a "priority", he's still a swell non-bigoted guy.

    You don't bring up the fact that Obama is on record opposing the constitutional amendment that Bush supported. Obama was opposed to prop 8 in CA. Obama has extended benefits and rights for same sex partners far beyond anything Bush did.

    Quit making excuses. This is so pathetic. It's why nobody who is seriously involved in the struggle for equal rights for homosexuals, believes you are at all serious about the issue, at least on the side of pro-gay marriage that you claim you are.

    Correct. Good for Laura Bush. Too bad her husband disagreed, and had lawyers working against the stated position of his wife.

    I wish Obama would do more for the equal rights of homosexuals, but at least he's leaps and bounds beyond the backward thinking of Bush.
