Rep. Vincente Gonzales (D-TX) paid $1,200 to the McHale Report Blog on June 24 for “advertising services.” After the payment, the blog has repeatedly and viciously attacked Flores, calling her “Miss Frijoles” over 20 times.

“My far left opponent, Vincent Gonzalez, hired a local blogger to run hateful & racist ads against me,” Flores tweeted on Monday. “But, I love frijoles & I grew up eating frijoles. I am not embarrassed of my upbringings & frijoles w/tortillas de harina is simply the best. Here’s to Miss Frijoles 2022.”

Jerry McHale, who runs the blog, has accused Flores of being a “Trump fanatic” and defended his attacks as just part of the political game. He also posted on May 13, prior to the check from the Gonzalez campaign, “Does Flores want Trump to come & take her p****?”

The blog also included other attacks against Flores, including vulgar descriptions of her vagina and labeling her “Miss Enchiladas” and similar terms. Included in other posts is conversation with a friend who discusses not wanting to spend the night with Flores because of concerns about “rotten p****.”

“I am a liberal Democrat. And it’s war against the Republican,” McHale told NBC. “I’m going to be merciless with her.”

“If you entertain any illusions of winning, you’re going to have to run on stronger issues that being baptized Miss Frijoles. In your rebuttal to the Miss Flores’ designation, you expressed your love for frijoles. Be careful and don’t eat too many because you’ve already done enough farting out of your mouth,” one of the diatribes against Flores reads.

I know you think a city overwhelmingly populated by the two groups least likely to commit crimes (whites and Asians), with very few of the people most likely to commit crimes (blacks and Hispanics) somehow proves that diversity = less crime, but I assure you that is does not. In fact, it proves that having more whites and Asians and fewer blacks and Hispanics is a recipe for less crime in American cities. I don't think that is a point you want to make, but there it is. On average, Asian Americans have the lowest crime rate, then white, then Hispanic, then Black (technically Native American and Pacific Islander are somewhere in-between black and Hispanic, but they have very small overall population sizes so they don't contribute much to statistics in most of the country). Irvine is just an example of this pattern. Please continue posting that I combined Asians and whites as a group as though it has some meaning though, I'm sure someone is dumb enough to think you have a valid point (though I don't know if they post on ClutchFans).

currently, the white population makes up 45% of the population, w minorities making up 55%,

as the population becomes more diverse, w minorities representation rapidly rising from 5% to 55%, Irvine's crime rate continues to be one of the lowest in the US

Yes, adding more of the one group that is less prone to crime than whites (that is Asians, BTW) continues low crime rates. Now look at other "diverse" cities like Stockton, East St. Louis, and Detroit. You cannot possibly be this stupid.

Over the last 40 years the percentage of the population that was black increased from 1.5 to 2.2%. The percentage of the population that was Latino increased from 5.8 to 11.7%. The percentage of the population that was Asian increased from 7.8 to 45.4%. Since Asians have by far the lowest crime rate, this would seem to correspond exactly with what I wrote. I am sorry to say you are wrong again. Even your statistical outliers fail to prove your point. I'm sorry to tell you this, but diversity in and of itself is not negatively correlated with crime. Demography does correlate to crime, just not in the way you wish. It turns racial groups have differential crime rates and having more of the low crime groups and less of the high crime groups leads to less crime.

I think I said that diversity doesn't lead to low crime rates, though it has been a while. Specifically, I said that your thesis that diversity lowers crime (which was based on an article that looked at individual neighborhoods) was disproven by the fact that Stockton, CA has very high crime and was called the most diverse city in America by Newsweek. By and large, because the Hispanic and black populations in the United States are much larger than the Asian population, diversity does lead to higher crime rates. It is only in the narrow case of Asian-Americans that an increase in a minority population leads to reduced crime.

Sure, but only increasing the Asian population reduces crime. Every other population has a higher crime rate than whites.

I know what I posted before. Asians have the lowest crime rate, then whites, then Hispanics, then Pacific Islanders, then Native Americans, then blacks. The more you have of people at the start of this list and the less you have of people further down the list, the lower your crime rate tends to be. Thus, the more Asians and then whites, etc. you have, the less crime. It isn't a matter of diversity, it is a matter of which groups have higher representation. It is better to have 9 Babe Ruths in your lineup than one player from 9 different groups divided by WAR.
