First of all, they had a legit point in that Trump trying to rush an untested vaccine to the public to help his re-election chances would be dubious. It's more a statement on the lengths he would go through to win an election, not about trusting the science. She in fact said she would not trust him "alone".

As for her statement about not anticipating Omicron or Delta, to me that is much ado about nothing.

Do I think she would be the best candidate for President - heck no. Would I vote for her over Trump? In a heartbeat. But I'd vote for anyone over Trump in a heartbeat. I'd vote for a duck to be president over Trump. So that's not saying much I suppose.

Is it just me, or does this story on Harris seem like a hit job by Dems to further weaken her standing within the party.

It's her own words. So unless she's doing a hit job on herself on behalf of the Dems, then I don't think so.

i know it’s her words. I’m just wondering about the coverage by the press. Query - if she were more popular and viewed as the next great thing, would there be coverage of the statement.

Probably not. It would probably be fawning praise over something inconsequential.

Meh, she said what she said. Perhaps she meant that we could not predict this precise level of mutation....... but her job requires communication and some degree of clarity and precision and she failed in that regard. I don't think it means much in the long term, the hang over from Afghanistan and the failure of the infrastructure are far bigger stories and concerns.

One positive thing I will say, is that unlike other administrations, the scientists and experts in the field are not being silenced as far as I can tell.

2022 is going to be a blood bath for the Democrats, but it was inevitable that whoever won the Whitehouse in 2020 was going to inherit a **** sandwich.... We are likely looking at some serious radicalism the next decade or so and that isn't a good thing....... I hope everyone learns to speak Mandarin and likes actual employment rates at a recent low with increased taxes and increased dependence on the government....... and no, that isn't going to just be the work of the democrats as the republicans will embrace a similar version of the same.
