I think Lakers would take Clippers deal over the Rockets deal that's just me though I also think they wouldn't like to make a deal with Clips so everything all messed up lol
I just want to sleep until July 1. So tired of all these rumors, "sources", leaks, etc. If we don't get Dwight, then he will have dominated CF for the past 2 (maybe 3?) offseasons despite never having played for the Rockets.
Apparenty not: http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/228168/Lakers-Would-Never-Trade-Dwight-To-Clippers
Could be fake or it could be a smoke screen. If they said they would then it opens the doors for other sign and trade possibilities. It decreases his value, i mean what else are they supposed to say?
He's too soft!!!! CP3 and Howard would go a lot further in the playoffs!!! You see where CP3 & Griffin get. They can't get past the 1st round
Thinking about Dwight getting sent to the Clippers in a S&T with a team comprised of- -Doc as coach -Cp3 -KG -Dwight -trash players like Matt Barnes & Turiaf reminds me alot of the team he got shipped off to last season(Kobe, Nash, Gasol, MWP, Mike Brown, trash role players). -IMO, The Lakers would be fools not to S&T Dwight for Bledsoe and Griffin. Even if Bledsoe has to go to Boston in the S&T, you can substitute some future picks, and live with Blake. That's a steal S&T, and 2 players that can really help you both in the short term, and in rebuilding past next year. Also Griffin is a very marketable player that really does fit the "showtime" mold, and isn't going to fold in the media spotlight that comes with playing in LA. Despite what people think, he's one of the few true 20/10 players left in the game, and is a solid building block still despite his deficiencies. -S&T with the Rockets for Asik & Lin is also pretty appealing, but Im just not sold on how both are viewed as long term rebuilding pieces. Asik alone could really help this team a lot moving forward on the defensive end, and Lin could be very valuable as a playmaking perimeter player while Kobe is making his way back from surgery. If Im running the Lakers, even though it looks like you are loosing a franchise player, you can't get much better return for a player you are going to loose anyways, and there would be a sense of relief that the Dwightmare is over for them, and they can start fresh without the drama.
Or keep the nearly $20M in cap room, save on a hefty luxury tax bill and be able to pick up another star (in addition to the one they can already bid for regardless of whether they SnT or not) in the next offseason. I can't believe are going to come out of this sort of in a win-win-win-win situation, w/ a good amount of control still in their hands. I wouldn't do the SnT for Griffin alone though. Bledsoe has to be there to seal the deal. If the Celts deal goes down, I think Bledsoe has to be a part of it. And Celts are asking for two first round picks as well. If no Bledsoe in that deal and KG and Doc are sent to LAC, Celts will definitely want at least the two first round picks. Will see, though I don't think the CLipps-Celts deal will go through.
Too many possibilities that all have merit. One of the GMs will choke under the pressure and make a bad move, leading to a quick domino chain of deals.
If Garnett goes to the Clippers for Deandre straight up with no other contracts going back to the Clips then the Lakers can't make the trade for Blake. Why? Because they are helping the Clippers team up Paul and Howard with max cap space again available in 2014 so that the Clips can then add Lebron or Melo. The Lakers simply aren't going to position the Clippers to have that opportunity and then have to try to build a better team to compete with them in the same city. Only way Lakers do a S&T of Dwight for Blake is if the Clippers have already locked themselves out of 2014 free agency with other contracts on their books that they couldn't dump to sign another max free agent.

Lakers will go fishing for Lebron in 2014. I think they rather let Dwight walk, so they can have a Kobe and Lebron tag-team.
If SA wins the Championship, speculation is going to run wild, and if the Lakers think they have any chance of signing LeDiva, they'd be fools to close off that option. They would have zero problems recruiting a second star after he's on their roster. Their phone wouldn't stop ringing.
Why would anyone even consider leaving LA. It's not as if Dwight is in the same situation as LeBron. LA is the big market, LA is that destination everyone wants to be in, LA has amazing weather, where I'm going with this is you don't look to explore your options if you're already in LA, you explore your options to get to LA. This is why I believe he is leaving the Lakers. You know what the Lakers are going to do, and you should know that they are willing to do and bring in whoever or whatever it takes to win.
