This makes you think Dwight just loves attention. Lets see how long it takes for him to make a decision come July 1st.
http://www.netsdaily.com/2013/6/21/...oward-head-to-houston-forget-l-a-and-brooklyn If anyone had any doubt that Mario Elie wouldn't be back on the Nets bench next season, he seemed to erase them Thursday night when he made a televised pitch to Dwight Howard on behalf of the Rockets. "Hopefully, Dwight Howard, you've got to come down to Texas, man," Elie said. "No state taxes, ain't no pressure down here. You don't have to worry about LA, Hollywood, or Brooklyn. Texas is great. The fans are terrific down here. We support. We're not like the Miami fans leaving when the game's not even over. We stay until the end here in Houston. Come on down to Texas, Dwight." Elie was a member of both Rockets championship teams in 1994 and 1995 as well as the Spurs in 1999. He also played with the 76ers, Warriors, Blazers, and Suns in his 11-year NBA career. He was hired by Avery Johnson. The article on his pitch didn't even mention his role with the Nets. Earlier this week, Elie promoted his basketball camp barely mentioning that he served as Nets assistant coach. Unlike other assistants, Elie has not been seen around PNY Center this spring. If Sampson or Bickerstaff leave, I would love to see Elie on our bench next season. I can't believe he did this. This is amazing. It backs up the statement that Houstin is a good franchise.
Yep. He has plenty of time to decide, he will unofficially know who wants him and the offers. Give him 1-2 weeks to get the official talks with teams done and then decide, if he drags it on longer he's either extremely mentally weak in not being able to make a decision or he just wants the attention.
Glad I posted about the full court press the Lakers will be doing a week ago. http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/Ur.../Straight-to-the-point.-Photo-via-@Lakers.jpg They never did this with Kobe.
What a brilliant, shocking and unprecedented plan by the Lakers. I'm sure Dwight is very excited. http://staydwight.com/
Yea. Well, we will see how serious he is about winning, I guess. Remember that this is a guy who (allegedly) wants to be liked and who hates letting people down. If that's indeed the case, they are making him feel that he's loved, wanted and that he's letting the franchise down by leaving. If they can convince him the organization can actually add a star next year and become a contender, things get rather cloudy. I don't think their approach is as trite as some might believe. It's actually quite calculated. Not saying it will work, but an emotional campaign is not a bad move on their part.
cyberx any news on what Dwight thinks of the billboards? Will it help sway his mind at all? Also any chance Rockets will put up any billboards to match what Lakers have done? Thanks for the info!
