My thoughts exactly. No way Mike D'Antoni is going to let 'consult.' What is he going to do, put in the triangle offense and let D'Antoni just run the show. LMFAO. At least it would be funny to watch . . .

Harden didn't choose Houston, Morey traded for him.

By the way, thanks for coming back, Cyberx.

Naysayers and non-believers, keep your mouths shut. Just move on, please if you don't believe in the guy and the long-time posters who have vouched for him.

I'm assuming Phil Jackson will be the trump card. Lakers are too sneaky

It still required breaks-- OKC deciding not to pay Harden, deciding they would trade him immediately and not wait until he becomes an RFA, and reaching a deal with HOU and not another team.

HOU could have gone after Phil. More treadmilling for Morey.

I realize it's early and you're not in a position to make a call or prediction like you did at the deadline last year (when you were adamant he wasn't coming here).

But, at THIS POINT, what odds are you putting on this thing. (knowing it can and likely will change)

This is all true, but I think he means we GAVE UP SOMETHING (a lot in some minds) for Harden.

Falling our way in a sense of getting a big time free agent is what I think he's trying to say.

I still think the biggest hiccups with Dwight staying in LA are:

    1. Coach - D'antoni - He doesn't like playing for him, Mike doesn't like the post up.
    2. Roster - Kobe hurt, Nash breaking down, Pau is an unknown
    3. Pressure - Kobe would be difficult to play with, we saw that this season, they didn't get along (see Kobe locker room exit when Dwight was ejected in his last game)

If Howard is not coming, so be it.

We could greatly improve the team with a starting caliber PF and a defensive SF.

If Howard doesn't want to come to Houston,it's fine with me. It may be a blessing in disguise for us.
I hope DM won't make a desparate move, which would hurt us.
Keep our core players, don't give a big contract to the 2nd tier stars.

    So what did Dwight want?

A different coach? well no they haven't done that
A max contract? well he was going to get that anyway

If Phil does get a say in Lakers operations, it means that someone like Brian Shaw will probably replace Dan Tony.
