Did you even get what I was saying over here? I said the only game Landry lacked "explosiveness" was against the Mavericks. He was wearing a knee brace that game and wasn't dunking everything in sight. This is because he hurt his knee the game before the Mavs which was against the Pacers. The Mavs game was the last game he played. So I guess when you said "he's lacked explosiveness for the last 2-3 games," you were mentioning games he didn't even play in? . Because before the Mavs game Landry was perfectly fine. I don't know if you are agreeing me or disagreeing with me to be honest.
hope its not too serious. in teh dallas game he was lacking explosiveness but he was still tearing it up.
yep, he growns up. and he has a lot of confidences now. helps him to shoot some good 3point shot even his can dunk on somebody's head
Wait a mintue, this is a rockets forum...and Carl landry has missed almost 1 week.....I am Surprised there are no "Trade Carl Landry" threads yet, i guess things are changing
The Rox did do a lot of hustling and did get loose RBs, we didnt do well because we didnt have Landry. He is basically our only athletic big we got. ATL has like 5 athletic tall players. WE NEED LANDRY
nah. I dont know why you're getting so salty over this. you say you didnt notice anything about landry before they pulled him. I'm saying he seemed to have been sluggish and less explosive for a couple games. If you didn't notice anything that's fine, not everyone picks up on everything, but lmao @ honestly have a problem counting back two? dallas, pacers, that's 2. oops, I typed 2-3 now I must be talking about games he didn't even play in. landry put up 17 on dallas, he still dunked. there were probably people who didn't even notice a "lack of explosiveness" on his part in that game either. and actually they'd be right. even in the mavs game landry never suffered a lack of explosiveness I said he had diminished explosiveness. He still could jump and get it done, he just wasn't jumping as high, grabbing as many boards or dunking as hard as he usually does the last few games. but dont be mad at me dude, even if you put in the definitive word that landry was "perfectly fine" I think I can disagree with you and life goes on right?
I think Landry hurt his in the Dallas game, when he landed awkardly in the game and seem to twist his knee.
doubtful for tonight, still some swelling thursday after wednesday's practice. a little concerning. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/5618508.html
Ugh ... doesn't it seem like every injury this season to a Rockets player has lingered way, way longer than what would normally be expected? We can go down the list, Francis, McGrady (twice), Luther, Yao (of course), and now Landry.
No. But the situation is just frustrating, the way its lingered. Who's to say this doesn't become a chronic issue for him? I think he might have been too good to be true.
March 14, 2008, 12:41AM ROCKETS SUMMARY Rockets forward Landry doubtful for tonight's game By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle Rockets forward Carl Landry tested his injured right knee in a workout Wednesday, but with some swelling still in the knee Thursday, he's doubtful to play tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats. "I think the whole key is going to be getting the swelling out of it, the soreness out of it," Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. "We don't want him to step backwards. When he comes back, we want him to be able to play and not have either one those things going on." http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/5618508.html
Way to stay positive. I'd rather him take the extra time to heal so we can have him fully healthy for the playoffs.
wow that was fast thanks for the update. I wish they would at least try some of these chinese herbal remedies that China is giving to Yao, or something, anything, to get the swelling down faster
