that's true but rookies hit the wall mid-late season, not in the playoffs. if the rockets were to go deep that would correlate to feb/march for regular rook

he wasn't. there were a couple places where he passed up dunks he would have routinely got, and a couple of dunks where he just dropped it in there instead of throwing it down as usual. he's carl landry so he did get to dunking but it wasn't as explosive as before. I had more than 1 RL friend make that remark that past few games which we attributed to him playing more minutes and not having the legs/adrenaline he had when he first got into the rotation. little did we know he was playing hurt

All in your head. Landry got hurt in the Pacers game, so he definitely didn't know he was playing hurt before, because well he wasn't.

Yeah, bloop. The Mavericks game was DEFINITELY the only game where he was missing some explosiveness.

It is kind of concerning, though, how they keep pushing this back farther and farther... I wonder if it has anything to do with the tough week coming up, and how there is a 4-games-in-5-day stretch on the horizon that they want him to be fresh for.

I think we just have to hope for the best at this point. There are several things that are circumstantial evidence. It's making a lot of us nervous, but we can worry about that when we lose. While we're winning I'm just going to be happy.

I think we have already known what does 'bumped knee' mean. We need Landry, he's really effective in those pick'n'rolls with T-Mac. His ability to finish around the rim.

Let's hope he is ok and he will be able to play against Lakers, well at least Boston...

He can't get any kind of really big payoff this summer anyways. The Rockets are still the main team Landry needs to impress, so sitting him out like this wouldn't help his value.

Don't need? Sorry but we need him to save us in the paint. If not (if he cannot play) than Scola has to go wild

What i meant was it is safer to let him rest until he is 100%.Why rush him and reinjure his knee.

That's right, only if he cannot play. We wanna have his explosiveness back. But it will be really good if he is available.

i think the reason the rockets were not clicking against atlanta is because they were not able to feed off of landry's energy and the energy created when deke has a great defensive game. they didn't look disinterested necessarily but they were not amped like they had been lately. hurry back landry.

before what? 2 games ie pacers and dallas? if he's not been as explosive the last couple of games that would coincide with being hurt versus indiana.

landry not "knowing" he was hurt? if your knee is swelling up a big soft spot it's not like you need to be A00man to figure out something is wrong. any anyone who's played sports knows if a joint doesn't feel right, if only it's sorer than it should be... no one said landry didn't know he was hurt, only that he lost explosiveness. in fact I'm pretty sure I read that the staff knew landry had hurt his knee that's why he had the brace on for the dallas game

in any case sharper eyes than yours saw there was something going on with landry recently. here's to him being 100% and back for the lakers

I agree....He had a break away in the Dallas game and even Worrell said " Oh get Ready !!" and he just lightly slammed the ball. He usually THUNDER DOUBLE DIPS the ball when he slams it !
