can i make a request, since a lot of us are getting tired refreshing this thread for actual news. If/when they do indeed announce he's playing (actually playing), can someone pls start a new thread about it, to make it easy to spot....like mattj would do.
Pretty much what he said. I'll believe it when I see it, because next thing you know, come 9 tonight, we'll get an update saying he's NOT playing and everyone will get their hopes up again. This situation has been seriously annoying.
I think Rockets trainers are trying to take it easy on us because of Yao's injury. They are saying Landry is day-to-day instead of killing us and saying hes out a month. They want to take it easy on us fans
Don't be fooled. They do that so the fans will keep hope AND continue to buy tickets. It's marketing strategy, no that there is anything wrong with that.
I'm excited about Carl Landry's future as well, but I think some of you are overstating the idea that whether a fan would or wouldn't buy a ticket would be determined by the status of Carl Landry. He has promise, but he's not Yao Ming.
Anyone who has ever followed the injury reports in the NBA knows that day-day means the guy will be back in one week tops. This is a key factor in fantasy basketball when you are looking to pick up a guy off waivers.
You really actually believe that crap? Seriously? I love how people want to attack the trainers but when push came to shove no one else could do a better job. Hilarious.
Stress Fractures are often discovered a long time after they start appearing, and in a much worse condition than at the beginning. It was actually good to find out about his injury then, than to find it later, since it could have been much worse. Not knowing an injury? The closest thing I can think of is earlier in the season when T-Mac had knee problems and they said he had a bone bruise but ended up having minor tendon damage(?). That was somewhat T-Mac's fault in the first place for not getting an MRI as soon as possible and tweaking it on a dunk.
Well, as evidenced by his play against good teams during the streak, its a lot tougher to beat the good ones without him than with him.
can we just win tonight because i am getting tired of the media and fake rockets fans talking negative, but then again it may be good so keep talking about us but lets start wining again
There were reports that Yao's injury happened in the first game against dallas...so that was about 3 1/2 months before they discovered it
Right here, or his official injury update web site CarlSitsOut.com It's even got a live video feed of him. Not.
When McGrady injured his knee with a bruise earlier this year, he kept swelling up too....I suspect Landry has a very similar injury. DD
You were pretty brutal then, saying McGrady needed to man up and get back on the court. You feel the same way about Landry?
