I think he knows there are 14 games left, and he has a bruised knee.....so there is no hurry for him to get back. If he plays the last handful of games....and plays them well, team's will overlook a prolonged absence.....didn't TMac miss like 14 games with a similar injury? DD
We desperately need Landry back soon...his energy and motivation is missing out there on the court...i hope we can atleast have him for the PHX game.
It's Dr. John Patterson of Body Mechanics in Waco. Fixed my 12 year back injury right up in an hour & a half.
That's really interesting. What did he do? I had a back injury and had surgery on a herniated disk. Really cleared it up, but I still get some occasional soreness/stiffness there. Would be great to hear what he did.
we'll make the playoffs with or without landry. the realistic championship aspirations begin next season. if landry needs to shut it down and have a scope or whatever it takes to be ready with yao when october rolls around then that's what i'm all for. i'm sure the rockets know more then all of us about is knee, it's just really skechy with the info right now.
Resulting effects usually arent good when a player comes back to early from injury. Even when they "play with pain" especially on the knee, lingering issues can remain. I say he's playing it smart. Its not like when its game time he'll be asleep in his hotel room, he'll be ready to play when its time. Maybe I'm more a guy if they say out 14 days I'll go 14 +1 when most guys go 14 -1 or 2 if they can..
his injury could also just be a sprained knee which is still a tear in the ligament but not a complete tear and may not require surgery to repair. the only thing keeping me optimistic is the fact that he's been participating in practices. i would assume that the rockets medical staff isn't stupid enough to not notice an ACL tear and let him practice if it really was torn. let's hope they're right.
i kind of felt this guy was the difference maker. it's so shocking they didn't bring him back at least today. I mean he would have continued the streak. He's the most reliable inside player because he has the most consistent and high percentage scoring and inside presence rebounding etc. Chuck hayes cannot do it every night like landry could. And scola can't do it alone without landry in there. To be honest landry is close to boozer. Imagine jazz losing boozer, they're pretty much the lakers without pau gasol
IMO Landry would've helped but as long as Rafer 0-ferred the Rockets would've lost too. Rafer was a major part of the streak even when Yao was still in.
Upset that Landry hasn't made it back on the court yet. However, I don't think it's a blown ACL or think that the Rockets know it's ACL as some others on the board have speculated. For the record, I am NOT a doctor, nor have I played one on TV. That being said, in all my years of practicing medicine I can find no reason for the team to have Landry travel with them on this current road trip if they didn't think/hope that he'd be able to rejoin them soon. It makes no sense otherwise. Not even a good PR move. And I am on the bandwagon for having diminishing faith in the Rocket's medical staff.
It seems strange to say that we desperately miss a rookie taken in the 2nd round...but we desperately miss this rookie that was taken in the 2nd round.
if we don't have landry against the warriors, then its gonna be tough to see Golden state put it on us like they did miami
If we don't find some perimeter guys to hit shots and cut and move, Golden State is gonna skin us alive by about 35.
