if landry has to sit for the rest of the regular season to get 100% for the playoffs... so be it. the way i see it, it doesn't really matter where we are seeded for the playoffs. landry has to be 100% for us to advance in the playoffs.

no, the swelling is on the knee that he previously injured. hopefully the two are not related.

Yeah, that's exactly what I am thinking. I think Feigen said in his blog it's not the same knee - Landry torn his ACL in his left knee, but his swelling is in his right knee.

Like I said before, lots of innuendo, conjecture, and now some homer "doctor" lambasting the Rockets medical staff for being inept. Now we hear it's not even the same knee.

    Stick to the facts.

but they're not saying that. They are saying, not until he feels 100%...coupled with there being no swelling or positive signs of injury.

it goes like this: "Carl, do you feel any discomfort?"
Carl, "Yes. I kinda still do."
Rockets, "Ok, let's try again tomorrow."

it's not: "Carl, you're clear to play."
Carl, "But I still feel discomfort...lack of explosion."
Rockets: "Are you sure, because there's no swelling anymore, and we don't see anything wrong. We really want you to play."
Carl, "Well, I guess I could, but my agent advises me against it."

before we talk why not try to look it up yourself? we are using the internet here.

Recommendation: Landry said he felt pain after he was “bumped” during Wednesday’s game against the Pacers. He played 24 minutes, making six of nine shots, the next night at Dallas. Landry suffered ligament damage in the same knee at Purdue but came back to play his senior year. Saturday was the first NBA game he has missed with an injury.

Yes, that is what they are saying publicly, but it may not be what they are saying in private.

Hey, it is just a theory...no biggie.

I hear what you're saying; although, no play at this point because of a nagging recurring injury would cost him more. Plus his next contract is *only* coming from the Rockets. No one can outbid us, and Morey said we are signing him. It's not like he'll be able to hide lack of explosion from us forever.

Yes, but other teams might make the bidding higher.

Anyway, as you correctly pointed out, it is all just BS conjecture.....

if true, then it means someone is lying, which you and I both know would blow up into a big BIGGIE on this bbs if uncovered.

between you and I...no biggie, though.

That's not fair or accurate. Stress fractures don't suddenly happen. They build up over time until they've progressed to the point of being a "fracture."

They didn't miss it for several weeks. It took several weeks (months) to get bad enough for them to realize something was wrong.

Do you really think Yao was able to play at that high a level for that long with a severe stress fracture in his foot?

It went from being sore, to a concern, at which point they examined and discovered it.

Hmmmm, I see what you are saying, but to me I believe that the organization lies all the danged time.

    :D

I think they always tell half truths etc, more like.....a need to know basis, and we obviously don't need to know.

    He's so exciting to watch...

Think about how many ticket sales they loose if people know for sure Landry won't play? Conspiracy?
