We need Landry back bigtime...

With our luck I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up missing the rest of the season though.

Landry played a big and critical role in our streak and our major change from struggling for playoffs to no.1 in the West. His energy and contribution were sorely missed during the last few games. The last few games we saw our
scoring drops and our efficiency plunged without him. I hope his knee is not serious and would recover ASAP.

    Min: 2-3 weeks.

Hope Blinebury is wrong or this is bad. Really bad.

Yes as do I hope Blindbury is just speculating and is wrong because honestly if we lose Landry for 3 weeks that's the straw that will break the Camel's (Tmac) back.

We managed to regroup on the run without Yao. But since Landry's loss we haven't been the same team. Yeah we still won but our athleticism dropped down another notch and Chuck Hayes and Deke have to be the worst offensive center duel in the league. Also Tmac is tired and I don't see any rest ahead for him. Landry was dunking everything and hitting midrange jumpshots and bring ing a big spark off the bench.

They have given him two MRI's and got 2 doc's to look at him. I have talked about them in the past but this is crazy.

Swelling after activity is a huge warning sign.

I can't keep playing this game with management. I've got to get Landry out of my system or I'll just go nuts.

So, from this point forward Landry is not part of the team, much like Yao.

I will learn to go with what we have.

If Landry gets lucky and comes back, fine...love the icing.

But no more wishing or hoping.

I hope Mike Harris can replace Landry contribution for the moment. He is not there yet but I hope in a couple of games, he'll be there.

Seriously, this situation is just annoying me now. I'm going to think of it like you. We are playing without Landry now. If he comes back, then great, but I'm going to stop expecting him to play. It's seriously annoying how this whole thing is being handled.

I'm a orthopaedic surgeon that specializes in sports related injuries. My medical practice specializes in the Knee and Shoulder.I do alot of accelerated ACL rehab on athletes. I can tell you from my 25 years expierence dealing with the knee( esp the ACL), that Carl landry has retorn his ACL. Anytime you have continuous swelling and fluid buildup in the same surgicaly repaired Knee(ACL), 10 out of 10 times the ACL has been retorn. This is why Carl Landry has not and will not be playing for a while(probable out for the season)

I expect to hearing that he is out for the rest of the season in the next 2 weeks or so....I Guarantee this. I wish this wasn't the case but thats life. I've been specializing in the Knee for 20 years. Its obvious that Carl Landry's ACL surgery that was done on him in college was not done properly the first time. If the surgery was done properly and the knee was rehabed correctly Landry would still be playing. Ive tried to post this without putting two much medical terms so all casuall fans can understand.

In my opinion, the Rockets and Texans both need revaluate thier medical staffs. Even though Carl Landry's knee problems are actully more the Purdue's medical staff fault and not the rockets medical staff. I have worked with the Rockets Orthopaedic surgeon on many occasions, and let me tell you he is not a good surgeon. It took him 5 hours to put 5 screws in Yao's foot. COM'ON 5 HOURS. It would take me or any decent surgeon, 30 minutes to do this SIMPLE procedure. Landrys knee is in bad hands because the Rockets medical staff is subparr.

BTW...don't even get me started about the Texans medical staff and head Orthopaedic Surgeon. I work with this man sometimes too...and he is wrong on his MRI diagnosis 8 out of 10 times....but I'll rant about the Texans medical staff on HoustonTexans.com not here on clutchfans.net

Sorry to be the bearer on bad news....but these are the facts. Carl Landrys Done...unless a miracle happens.

Well I totally disagree on the Texans docs. W. Lowe does surgeries for big name players all the time.

How do you explain the Alabama doctor not seeing a torn ACL? Are you saying the Rockets are withholding?

I call BS. Any practicing surgeon understands a good bit about the legal profession these days also, and you just really attacked the career and competence of another professional, on a board widely read. Very hard to believe, especially as you could have made your point without savaging him/them. If you're the person you claim, you better be very confident of your anonymity.

No, I'm not interested in tracking him. It just wasn't the writing or conduct of a professional. You should see what ends up in court these days.

But yeah, I'll STFU. But please, keep posting your thoughts and using lots of punctuation. We all love to read that. LOL!?!?>!11!?!?!

No its the conduct of a fan. For it to end up in court someone would have to care that he said this as an anon user on a BBS. If he does not state his name, practice than the attack has little teeth.

    Whatever.

Questionable conduct aside, and arguments over what can and does or does not end up in court these days also aside, mystery surgeon is probably CORRECT about the knee issue. That I believe at least.

This was one of the main reasons Carl slid as far in the draft as he did, and I for one was incredibly worried about this as soon as I heard the word "knee" with him.

What I find hard to believe is that a company that spends so many millions on its capital (players) is careless when hiring medical staff. That's really hard to believe, but admittedly possible.
