At what does it become obvious that he's seriously injured? I really, really, really, REALLY hope i'm wrong but at this point you have to expect the worst.
We should trust the sources saying he's not playing. The stations reporting that he would play are probably getting that from the Chronicle beat writer, Jonathan Feigen. He said yesterday that he thought Landry would play today.
I hope you're right but if he sits tonight that makes two games turning into six. Not to mention, it's a knee injury.
If it is just a little swelling and he is not going to do any more damage than why not let him get the kinks out, and loosen it up some? DD
When I had my knee scope they made me take another MRI because the first one was with my knee swollen. If it is swelling, that can hide stuff and I think they are just being cautious considering his ACL repair. Getting a second opinion is huge sign of how careful they are trying to be. Hopefully the Yao Ming thing made them scared of everything.
it said "minimum" two games. yes its a knee injury but he is at practice with the team, walking around without a brace on. nobody with a serious knee injury does that.
Well thats good news. I remember bruising my knee playing in a pickup game a while back and it definetly took it alot longer to heal than I expected.
What annoys me is how the Chronicle is reporting this news. We see headlines like "Good news" (Landry didn't tear up his knee ... yipee!), and "Rockets are hopeful" (hopeful for what? ... he's not done for the season?).
If there was one game where they needed Landry, it's definetly against Boston. It really sucks that he's out tonight.
The odds have been against the Rox this whole run, so, Landry is out and we just have to find another way to win against another good team. They will step it up so here's to giving the Celts a helluva game!
