And if the NBA devises a list of proxy servers to ignore votes from, then write a virus that creates a backdoor on the host's computer, and use that backdoor to vote in the All-Star game from hundreds of different machines.

Why waste your time doing a DDOS attack, when you could get Jason Collier into the All-Star game?

    :D

Can anyone explain what the following statement means ?

They were all rookies, how does one break through more rapidly ?

It means that no rookie has started the All-Star game since Grant Hill. Or that's how it reads to me...

Didn't Tim Duncan get to start as a rookie as well?

I think he may have started as a second year player. Kung-fu Karla probably started when Timmy was a rook.

there you go, I was thinking about it too. just a simple perl script will do. Darn, I am too busy with my work now... Sec that, i dont endorse any "illegal" means to boost votes for certain player in the all star voting.

Nope, Tim did indeed start his first year. I remember it clearly, and I remember the announcers talking about how "he may be the only rookie, but he's certainly not the youngest player in the game" (ya know, Bryant, Walker, maybe 1 or 2 other peeps).

You do realize that the All-Star coach isn't the only guy who selects the reserves... all the coaches in the conference vote on it. I think.

To make matters worse, Ben Wallace surpassed Shaq in votes at center. Different conference or not, I think Laker fans aren't even trying.

Personally, I don't want him to play... :p

He was number one in overall votes.

What about putting a lineup of Yao, Shaq, KG, Dirk plus a point guard? How would the East handle it? :D

Put TD in that lineup, and let KG handle the point.

Just read in the LA TIMES right now that Yao leads Shaq in paper votes as well as internet votes according to the league officies. So that dispells any thought of China and internet rigging the starters.

    Way to Go Yao!

ok..to those of you who are Yao haters...not that i'm talking about you Quakes..is just that..many Shaq fans said that ..Yao only getting pass because of votes from china..well i will be the first to tell you that IF they REALLY did count the votes from china..YAO ming will be ahead of EVERYBODY...with more than just 900,000 votes..don't you think..? there's 300 millions people having access to the game..and millions with access to the internet..if they really count the votes from China..YAo total would be in the million..not thousands

I think by some miracle that we are going to get Elton Brand, so I am rooting for him to make it this year.
