    Did he get any ball?

I may have missed it but it looked like all forearm.

What else was he supposed to do? He got in, got a good look, but got his wrist on his off hand grabbed on the way up. If that's not a foul, nothing is.

It's not a matter of him learning to do anything, it's a matter of refs not giving blatant preferential calls to the home team.

    Either way,

    I'm glad it wasn't ariza.

Someone who can't dribble getting stripped in that situation is a major castration to a team. Even after a loss.

I watched the replay and saw no ball, all arm. Not even a tough decision, it was pretty obvious.

Yes, all forearm, I was being sarcastic towards the stripes.

AB shooting a 3 has a better % of going in than driving in on 3 massive guys who know they will get away with small contact late in a game. :(

Lew was being a bit facetious. It was a horrible blown call at the end of a game featuring numerous horribly blown calls.(both ways mind you) Just sucks that its on the last play of the game. It tends to stick out more.

That was alot more contact than what was called against the Warriors.

Maybe so, but the contact wasn't small, that's my point. If it was minimal, ok, whatever. But it was a blatant hack, bad to the point that I could tell it happened in real time without the benefit of seeing a proper angle. It was an easy call and it was completely ignored.

it may work against some of the lousier teams, but certainly not against a decent team like Portland.

Going to Brooks with 3 seconds left was absolutely the right decision. A post player does not have enough time to operate with 3 seconds and attacking the basket is always a better option than a jump shot and AB is our best option at driving and attacking the basket. It didn't work out tonight. That's it.

I see. My bad. I thought maybe I missed something.

    Oh well.

    Roy is good. Really good.

    But we're small!

A drive is good for the proper guys. The Blazers and most other teams congest the paint.

I would have had AB shooting it too, but a 3 instead. Or scola/Landry.

Brooks is our best option. i dont have any complaints..

you cannot setup a good shot for our PFs in 3 seconds.. difficult

and there is another guy on the team who cannot dribble to save his life.

so its Brooks.. I want him to have the ball in these plays. let him learn.

I saw the replay...and brooks was obviously hacked, but not my point.

The reffs will not call that!

The best catch and shoot guy is Budinger. Maybe they should practice a 3-second play that let him catch the inbound pass off a double pick (a la Reggie Miller) and shoot, with Aaron as the second option.

I wouldnt be surprised to eventually see our lineup for last second plays like that taking out Ariza and bringing Budinger in. Use Battier for the inbound, Landry on the post, then Budinger and Brooks. Finally either Lowry or Scola depending on time and what you want to try and run.
