I would only fight if it really necessary. Had so many tough cookies, specially when I'm talking to their girl "thats my wife bro" "that's my sisters cousin brother friend gf,bro". I hold my territory and act like a hyena with my kinfolk.
Last fight i got into, i got sucker-punched. I let my guard down so that i could hug and apologize a guy i headbutted.
Do you realize that the posts that are just acting like another person in the same scenario aren't even mildly funny?
I got in a fight with a guy that thought my posts acting like another person in the same scenario weren't mildly funny.
Has anyone here actually lost a fight? I was fortunate enough to have the brains to know I wouldn't win a fight and I use the "bigger man and walk away" routine once. It helped that I was alone with him and had no pressure from "people watching so I gotta act tough" and I was pretty much at fault.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
I haven't gotten into a real fight since middle school. I used to box/kick box and do bjj in college. Too many bad things can happen in a real fight so I avoid them. Even when you win, you lose. I don't like the idea of going to jail just to prove my masculinity.
I have a friend who always gets into fights so I always need to go and help him with the "bro-code". Last real big fight we had (not counting bar fights where two punches are thrown then its done), it was in the streets outside a night club in Spain. We where talking with some girls, about to go back to our place, and some dude who was drunk/pissed that we where taking his girls told us to "go **** ourselves orelse he would beat the crap out of us". And my friend who loves this kind of **** told him "come and show me". I never thought the dude would have came but he actually did. So I put myself between my friend and him, trying to calm the situation but the dude was tense and tried to swing at me. I avoided it then gave him an upper-cut with my elbow and he lost his balance so I tripped him. Then my friend just beat the crap out of him. Positive: The dude got what he asked for. Negative: The girls didn't come home with us because they thought we where wife-beaters.
As for fighting in general. I am completely and utterly against it. Even the "defend your chicks honor" type of fight doesn't work. Seriously. I once knocked out a dude because he told me he was going to "**** my girlfriend anyway", and my girl still gave me **** for doing that. Women hate violence, even if its to defend their honor.
Knocking out a guy for insulting you is assault. The only good fight is self-defense. You can goad assholes to hit you, though, aka "Come at me, bro."
I got into 7 fights in high school, and seemed to come close to a fight every other week. But in the 6 years since I've graduated, i haven't really even come close to a fight. It's easier to let crap slide when you're unlikely to ever see the guy again, and don't have to worry about other dudes calling you out for letting some guy punk you. Unless someone forces the issue, I can usually walk away, but there might be an argument first, I'll only swing if he swings first. It's not worth the ticket, or potential jail time, just becuase someone called you names.
Last time I fought was at Drake and ended up getting kicked in the face and loosing my new prescription glasses. Loosing my glasses hurt more than the kick.
Last pure fight was 6th/7th grade. In college during a "casual" basketball game, another guy and I were so physical with each other it was basically a fight. We beat each other up while pretending to still play.
Ninth grade. A bully swung a lock at me in the locker room. I smashed his head into the wall repeatedly. I got paddled, and he got nothing. I've broken up several bar fights since, but if you're just pulling people apart, it's not really "in a fight".
a little while back i was in a line and these two dudes were about to fight, one dude was kind of a tall bill gates and the other was this dude with piercings and tatts, i think they were arguing about their place in line the bill gates dude said tattoo piercing guy cut him in line and the tattoo/piercing guy said billgates was so tall he couldn't see him, another taller dude steps in to break it up but really looked like he wanted to beat the crap out of both of them, the whole time i was thinking i could take all three because i drive i corvette i was 18/19 when i got into my last real fight and yes i have lost a fight got beat up pretty bad when i was about 14/15
