Mcgrady is a decent shooter. You dont have to be a great shooter to be scoring around 50% fgs.

btw... the "not shooting 50% for 16... now 17 games in a row" is not on jumpshots.... he has not SCORED on 50% for 17 games now in a row... So that includes every shot attempt.... Ya, scoring the basketball is a small part of a players game, in the nba, especially for a player who's main asset for all of his career was scoring the damn ball.... but since he racks up 5.8 assists per game its okay and makes him an mvp candidate even though about 20 other players in the league average more assists than him...

you know, i wasn't very specific in my post, but usually when a dog gets run over by a car, it hollers.

yes... but out of 17 games, I think most superstar wings can shoot over 50% for a single game :D

Kobe Bryant's career FG% is 45%, even Michael Jordan's FG is below 50%, yet you think McGrady sucks because his career FG% is under 50. Ok.

50% is only decent shooting for a SG or SF?? We have different views of that :D

Nah, you're the same poster that's going around ripping people for like McGrady and calling them McGrady "nut huggers" or some other garbage, so you're just one step above a troll. Congratulations on using a smiley.

Exactly. There are only 3 SGs and 2 SFs in the ENTIRE LEAGUE who are shooting 50% or higher from the field. 5 players combined. Period.

This board seriously puts these players on a damn pedestal... No criticism is allowed... im so sorry that you are so sensitive in your feelings that you become hurt inside for me calling another poster a "Mcgrady nut hugger" half a month ago because the damn poster couldnt even admit Mcgrady is in a damn shooting slump... Im sorry that I am a Rocket fan, not a Mcgrady fan.... I think Mcgrady's career is almost over and that he isnt a superstar in my eyes.... Do I still support my Rockets... Of course.... Do I wish Mcgrady a bad game every day??? Of course not.... quite the contrary....

Hey, you're the one who started a thread to whine, not me. Seems to me you're the one who sensitive and hurting inside. It's just amusing to see you come out of the woodworks when the Rockets lose just so you can b*tch about McGrady. Now continue "putting this board in its place" if it stops you from hurting inside, though it's ironic that you're trashing McGrady because YOU put him on a pedestal and isn't achieving what YOU want him to.

doesnt mean players go on a 17 game slump and not shoot above 50% ONCE in that span  I mean... look at how many of those game in this span where he actually shot under 40%.... its quite embarrassing especially for an "MVP candidate".

What is his scoring average over that stretch and what is the Rockets won-loss record. That's all that matters.
