Well, the thread says to post your bid before midnight of tonight, but BGM posted afterwards, so I am going to go ahead and up my bids on a Goodwin anyway. :)

Just to repeat the essence of what I said in the chat, or rather the effect of it.

The highest bid for Truby is 600 K, so my bid is then 625 K.

The Z's know how to read...

"Please submit your bid by midnight Sunday."

This seems more like a request than a deadline. I apologize for submitting my bids an hour and 16 minutes after the requested time...

Well, RR seemed to see it as a deadline. But I suppose unreasonable minds could disagree. Just to avoid disagreement, the deadline is extended until 6 PM today. Six P.M. Central Time is a Final Deadline for Submitting Your Claims for These Free Agent Scrubs!!! We will consider the late bids of BGM, Raven, and Heath, as well as anyone else who wants to post their bid before 6. Bids only accepted in this thread; not in chat. This should also hopefully give SF3 a chance to bid $1.2 mil on Carlos Guillen if he want to.

I'll bet you didn't even read the handy article on neoliberalism. And I went to all the work finding the link, too...

    Talk about a flawed system...

I'll just wait till 5:59 pm to make my bids so no one else can outbid me...

b**** b**** b****. If you had a better system you should have suggested it, Pete. Based on past performance, my bet is you wait until 6:01 and miss making your bid entirely. :p

I did have a better suggestion, remember?

We should have a live auction in the chatroom for these few players...

No I don't remember you every saying that while I was in chat. But that's a bad idea anyway. We've got 5 rounds of draft tonight, plus spring training, plus we are starting the season. Adding a live auction for a "few players" (if by a few, you mean 33) would just add to an already busy night.

Most of the people thought that midnight was the deadline. And yet the last bids (before yours) were well before that cutoff. Frankly, there's only so much bidding you can do for 36-year-old roster fillers. You want to strategize so you can outbid everyone at the last minute for Frank Freaking Menachino? Be my guest.
