Last season, the Rockets started 16-4. Can they repeat that performance?

Looking at the schedule I think they will go 18-2 if they have the rotation down by opening day.

    I don't see anything worst than 15-5.

I don't see them losing any game after Nov 7th until Dec 19th but of course they will. I would also expect them to win at least 2 of the 4 games against the Warriors, Clips and OKC.

    15-5 seems about right.

I don't think any team is deeper than we are through at least 11 players and possibly more. I would most likely put our 12 and 13 players against any teams 12 and 13 players.

It depends on injuries and how we gel.

I know I am being overly optimistic but I feel we are now good enough for other teams to worry about the Rockets being on their schedule. We should be that good.

15-3 to start the first month.

    58-24 final record.

probably good enough for second seed and a WCF rematch with GSW. either that or 3rd seed and lose to the spurs int he second round.

it looks like the warriors, spurs, and rockets will finish 1-2-3 in any order depending on health, and whoever has HCA will be the one to advance to the finals.

Spurs have a great but older starting five but they hurt their bench and that may make a big difference for them.

I'm predicting the Spurs have trouble getting their role players to fit into a new system the Pops must imolement for LMA. the role players who rely on motion are now goingt to have to adjust to LMA's need to dominate the ball

I'm very much hoping the Spurs system and role players adjust to Aldridge rather than Aldridge adjusting to the Spurs system and role players.

I think Dwight has to sit out the first game. Right? And Lawson is going to be suspended for some games. Right? DMo probably won't be playing much at the beginning either. However, after the first week our schedule looks very easy until about Christmas. 16-4 is possible, especially if we do well that first week.

Probably not, that's pretty crazy good.

Dwight may be sitting out some games, Dwight is suspended the first game, Lawson will be suspended a few games.

If we can beat Golden State the first two times we play them, we start 34-0. San Antonio catches us napping on January 2nd. Get used to winning boys and girls. We're setting the streak record. F the lakers and f memphis for pushing us into overtime on November 25th.

If healthy they can win at a 700+ clip for sure.

I think 15-5 should be a reasonable place to shoot for. They will win a couple they probably shouldn't and lose a couple they probably shouldn't.

The Rockets may very well start 1-3 just by looking at the first 4 games of the schedule. Clutchfans will go in full meltdown mode, but I think making the play-offs and minimizing everyone's minutes should be the main focus this year.

I'm leaning towards a repeat performance. I think if Ty is comfortable with the team that early in the season I can see us beating one or two of the tougher teams.

As a team we have to playing to our strengths in terms of shooting, penetration, rebounding and turnovers.

They also started out playing lockdown defense for that part of the season. Then they got lazy, tired, injured, or all three. But I think we all remember wondering at the beginning of last season, "Is this the same Rockets? They're stopping the opponents from scoring."

It'll come down to defense setting up the offense. And that means everybody needs to step up their game on D. Then you inject your defensive specialists, and use all of it to create better opportunities for what should be a more potent offense.

I've come around to believing in point differential as a good indicator of team success. If they Rockets go 20-0, but win each game by 10 or fewer points, I'm still going to be nervous. If they go 14-6, but slaughter the teams they should slaughter, I'll feel better about their mental state.
